Great warmth from fleece inside and waterproofing very effective
I wear these day in, day out through winter and spring, they great. Warm and water repellent with a elasticated, button fastening waist with a built in belt. Top product!
Slightly longer than required but still fit and do the job for walking and canoeing.
Love these, I will be purchasing another pair.
I'm a 32" waist and decided to buy a 32" and 34" as I read some reviews saying that the sizes are small. Like I mentioned I'm a 32" and the even the 34" is far too small especially around the crutch area. As these are meant to be for hiking, with a crutch that tight these won't last 2 minutes climbing up and down rocks and bolders without them splitting.
Spoilt for choice at Decathlon for all sporting needs, have shopped here for years.

Just what I needed for warmth and water resistance

I use these for work. Robust, good double pockets, brilliantly warm, the belt needs a bit of work on but otherwise a great buy and definitely recommended
My new favourite cold weather walking trousers. Great when there’s rain and wind forecast (most of the time where I live!). Comfortable and more stylish than the other insulated, water repellent trousers I own. Wash up well. Only improvement I can think of is a rear pocket.
Absolutely superb did the job
The stitched in belt is absolutely useless.
These are advertised as water ‘repellent’ not waterproof so don’t be surprised when it eventually gets through. They put a good fight up though. I always wash in liquid soap flakes then use a wash in proofer like NikWax. They’re very warm with that fleece lining and, after washing, dry quite quickly. The design is good except for the built in belt. They’d be much better with hoops for you to use a separate belt or add hoops anyway so you’ve got that option. When I bought them I didn’t try them on so had to take them back for a bigger size. They fit well on the waist and leg length but were far too tight on my thighs. I’m 6’2”, 13.5 stones and average build. I had to buy a bigger waist size which meant having to sew two tucks in the waistband, move the button across and tie a knot in the built in belt. Other than that, these are perfect and definitely worth the money.
Bought these for my husband, ordered the next size up as last time they were a bit small, these fit him perfectly. they are lovely & warm & dry when walking with the wind & rain. really pleased & they wash well just turn them inside out.

Fleece component: insulation thanks to air
The fleece component is designed to trap air in the space formed by its texture; This air acts as a natural insulator, keeping the body warm.It is the brushing of the knit fabric that traps the air.
Component water resistance
A fabric's water repellent property is its capacity to make water run off its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight, warm and breathable. The water-repellent property is obtained by applying a PFC-free treatment to the outer surface of the fabric. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifespan (recommended after each wash). Products are available for this purpose in our stores.
Product testing
We carry out 2 types of thermal testing:- a test of the trousers’ material.- a test on a thermal dummy in a thermal chamber. We reproduce the temperature, wind (5 km/h) and humidity conditions that you would encounter in the mountains walking at 5 km/h. These tests validate our design choices and we then adapt the thermal insulation where you need it most.
Storage instructions
Store in a dry, dark place.We recommend you avoid using chemicals such as bleach, which could cause deterioration in the garment’s thermal insulation.
