For the exterior a good article

Great inflatable mattress, very compact. Weight: very light. I recommend with foam mattress.

Slippery mattress

The mattress does its job well, but as soon as you put a sleeping bag on it, everything becomes slippery. I spent my nights having to climb back onto my mattress... Apart from that, it inflates and deflates very easily.

We bought this ultra light mattress for our son. Great price-performance ratio.

It fulfills its function perfectly.

Lightweight and inflates very quickly.

It doesn't fit in...

It doesn't store easily! The storage bag becomes too small because there is always air in the mattress...

ultralight and I sleep the same

(Used for a 1900km 16day 16500m altitude difference bike trip) Small size and weight speak for themselves: perfect for ultralight lovers, at a competitive price. The only doubt in the purchase can be about its sleeping comfort; this will be personal, and should absolutely be tested before leaving for a trip, but I can say that I have had no problems - I am also short, 1.7m, so it comes just above my knees holding it up to my head and without a pillow. Tips: 1. use the sleeping bag on top, even if open because it is hot, to create an additional soft layer, also for the legs; 2. if you use a pillow, you can put it over the mattress - in my case, I could therefore push the mattress up to under my knees. Obviously, both for R-value, and because it is short, it will not be suitable for very cold climates, alone.

Weight at the expense of comfort

This is specified in the product description but it is important to emphasize it. The comfort for an adult of 1.78m or more is very basic. Only the trunk rests on this mattress, the legs remain offset from the pelvis with the rest of the body. Personally it is the weight that motivates me, but I will probably change mattresses next year because nights in wet or cold terrain are difficult for the part not supported by the mattress. It could be interesting to offer "an extension" to attach to this mattress allowing us to modulate its size according to our trek and thus optimize the weight or comfort according to the planned Trek or Hike. This system would allow us not to have to buy a second mattress.

Good mat

Bought with a child in mind and it works perfectly in this area. The child did not complain about the back or lack of comfort while sleeping. The only downside is the compactness. Much smaller than the regular version and yet it is packed the same.

The one on display was larger, so we were surprised when we opened the mattress to inflate it. It is very practical but you will have your lower legs outside the mattress. So it's expensive not to have the bottom of the legs on it 😅 we'll look better next time.

I used it...

I used it on mountain hikes and bike tours. Very light, not bulky and very comfortable.

Design defect -> Leaks

2 mattresses purchased, both deflated during the night. Identified problem = Design/construction defect! Leaks on the 2 mattresses in the same place at the bottom at the end of the lateral joint between the short outer section and the next one (on the left for one and on the right for the other). If the VERY practical side (short, light, compact format) seems advantageous, the mattress loses all its meaning, since its primary function is not ensured. This is a design flaw that needs to be resolved so that the product is not the NIGHTMARE of short/long treks (where every night is precious!). The inflation/deflation valves are also impractical (and relatively large). It would be interesting to consider a similar product in terms of short format & compactness with a more resistant design (self-inflating style) and 1 single side inflation/deflation valve.

The perfect mat for summer. Beautifully sized from head to bottom. The legs are peeking out, but it can be neatly folded into a small package.

What is the r-value?

The R-Value is a measure of the thermal insulation. It measures the ability of a mattress to retain or prevent heat from escaping from a warm body (human body) to a cold floor. The higher the R-Value, the better the insulation of the mattress. Please note that the R-Values can be added; this means that you can use two mattresses and add their R-Values.All our mattresses are tested to standard ASTM F3340-18.

What r-value for what use?

R-value from 0 to 1.9: Hot season (summer) onlyR-value from 2 to 3: 2 or 3-season (spring-summer-autumn)R-value from 3 to 4: 4-seasonR-value of 4.5 and higher: Use in all 4 seasons and in extreme conditions (glacier, far north and high altitudes)

Tips for sleeping well on your mattress

Once you are lying down, remember to adjust the inflation pressure of the mattress by slightly pressing the IN valve (open cap). A mattress that is too hard is often synonymous with discomfort.Silicone patches on the top of the mattress are designed to reduce the sliding of your sleeping bag on the mattress.

Additional sustainable development information

Textile dyeing requires a lot of water but also produces waste water from the dye baths. To reduce the environmental impact of this model, we chose to use a dyeing process called Inchbi-ton Inch which involves dyeing one out of every two yarns. This dyed yarn is also made from a bulk dyeing process which incorporates the colour pigments from the yarn manufacturing phase onwards. This process reduces the CO2 emissions of this product.

How to repair a leaky mattress

An inflatable mattress is not puncture-proof, but it can be repaired! When using it, take every care when installing and handling it. In the event of a problem, we recommend using self-adhesive repair patches (ref: 8557113).For more information, copy the following link into your browser:https://www.forclaz.co.uk

Product testing

All our mattresses are subjected to mechanical tests to assess their performance and durability and ensure you enjoy a good night's sleep and an excellent recovery. We also carry out numerous field tests in real-life conditions.

Storage instructions

In order to improve the durability and reliability of your product, store it laid out flat with the valve open in a dry place away from extreme temperatures.
