Question:
I want to swap the front chainring on my Tirban GRVL120. What is the direct mount standard used there? I need to order online, but can't find any info on which chainring I need to get.
Answer:
Its a single chainring Microship 38tooth ring H100 10 speed system currently. All Microshift cranks use a 24mm spline, so you can replace the crank set with another system with 24mm or change the bottom bracket and use any crank you like.

This bikes comes 90% assembled, and comes with all the tools you will need. Handle bars, front wheel and pedals will need to be installed.

Product Customer Reviews
Excellent to start in the world of gravel, I have used it on very technical roads and it is very light and resistant, the only detail is the seat is very uncomfortable and the brakes are not very good, but nothing that cannot be replaced by something of better quality, I acquired 2, one for my wife and one for me and we have not had any problems.
So far a very nice bike, I use it to go to work, 15km going to work 15km going back home, not a long distance, from Monday to Friday and everything works awesome. I love how light this bike is. I find it very comfortable for me. And it was not expensive, so there seems to be a good price/quality relationship.
Hi, it makes a noise when you turn and my rear tire got stuck by 2 turns.
Excellent build and weight, I loved the bike, just three observations: first, the brakes were not adjusted well when it was assembled at the store; second, the transmission system was not adjusted well either and third, the seat is quite uncomfortable.
Overall, this bike has some potentials, but I don’t think it’s the kind of bike that will grow with you as your skill level increases. Bike maintenance is the biggest challenge for this bike from my experience. I had problems with gear shifting right off the bat, and no matter how much I adjust the barrel adjuster, it keeps skipping gears especially easier gears (closest to the spoke). The front brake is pretty cheap, and it starts to click after just a 15 miles ride for me! It’s not serious though, all brakes make weird noises after a long ride, but clicking to me is a bit uneasy. There is also no derailleur hanger, so if it’s bent, you would have to fix the whole frame. Decathlon most likely cut some corners to make this bike this affordable. It does what it supposed to do, but there are just too many limitations. I wouldn’t feel comfortable taking this on more challenging gravel trails. The tires that come with the bike are not bad. Once you’re used to gravel rides, you will get used to the tires as well. I still recommend it to anybody who is new to gravel bike and don’t plan on doing too much biking. For more experienced riders with a lower budget, I would look at something else such as Marin, GT Grade, or Poseidon. If you ride a lot, this bike will require regular maintenances. To start, you might also need to bring it to a shop to adjust the gear shift. I messed with the barrel adjuster for hours and still couldn’t get the perfect shifting, so I recommend going to a bike shop instead. There is also only an electronic manual on Decathlon’s Filipino site.
Excellent product
I bought this bike, it came from a road bike, it is a very comfortable bike to ride on both asphalt and cobbled roads, I have ridden it with other road bikes and it responds, but on the flat it would be nice if it came with a 40 or 42 teeth, and the brakes more than all the front ones, it seems that the disc did not do its job 100%, but it responds to stop properly, but it seems a little rough, I am very satisfied with the purchase, I am a person of 191, and the size XL, it fits me perfectly.
This bike is perfect for those who want a good starting point into road biking, while having the versatility to go off road whenever they want. The 38mm tyres on this really give you the confidence when you go over cracks, bumps and debris on the road, knowing that you won't crash easily or have a flat. No issues with this bike since i bought it, and have clocked in about 1000km of mileage already after 8 months. Extremely worth it for the price!
Awesome bike. Used it on different road - smooth and rough. I was quite surprised with its performance! I used it on the road and a bit of rougher road (trail with a bit of dirt and rough). I just need to adjust some things to my liking but other than that, it is a good bike :)
Brakes feel cheap Overall decent
I was having a hard time looking for a gravel bike for a tall person and this XL was as large as some XXL bikes from different brands. I tested several others, but this one to me stood out as the best value overall, and definitely one of the best to ride regardless of the price. Don't get me wrong, it's not the same as a brand name bike that costs 3 times more, but to me it is as good if not better than bikes costing 50-100% more. The tires keep pressure well (and I'm a big guy), the bike is so balanced that for the first time ever I learned to ride without holding the handlebars, naturally, and the bike is so fast through the dirt, as if it's gliding on air. i found the seat to be very comfortable, the micro shifters shift very well and positively, and the overall frame geometry is just right. My only negative is the braking is not very strong, but it's adequate and on par with the market in this price range. The only way it gets better is with hydraulic brakes ($$). The bike is also very light. I can't comment on long term longevity but the first impressions are highly positive.
Great value for money.
Great bike on paper, but the price point really reflects the quality of certain components used. The bike rides and feels great, but passed the 500km mark, you will likely need to replace the wheels, tires, spokes and brake calipers. I rode this bike for a few months, mostly on pavement, as a commuter. As much as I enjoyed riding the bike, I've had multiple flat tires, broken spokes and brake failures, which could all be attributed to cheap components and fabrication defects. Aftersales service were also less than helpful, and pretty much accused me of sabotaging the bike to get replacement parts. I will have ended up putting another 700-800$ in replacement parts and labor on the bike just to make is useable again for next season, without mentioning the time sink this represents. It's still cheaper than buying a new bike, but I regret going with this one in the first place, especially considering the 1k$ price tag. You're better off spending the 500-1000$ right from the start to get a brand name and more reliable bike and save the headache. I do not recommend this bike, and I will not be buying sports equipment from Decathlon again.
I am a newbie to cycling. The truth is, it is a very good purchase, although the seat is somewhat uncomfortable, but I think it is a matter of getting used to it.
I love this very versatile bike, nothing negative to say.
