A very reasonable shoe for hiking and daily use.

I really appreciate its lightness.

I wear the shoes for a short hike and for quiet strolls in town.

easy to use and doesn't hurt your feet

I used them for months while working in the field and they are very comfortable shoes, but I would recommend getting one size larger than your normal size.

These shoes are suitable for nature hiking or short hiking. Very good grip but not comfortable for long trek or walk. It starts discomfort due to heat generates in shoe.

Minus 1 year-damn

Well I have been wearing these shoes for several years, but I am really disappointed with this last pair. The soles cracked completely in the middle of the shoe. And the stitching did not hold. They have not even been worn for 1 year even though I have not worn them much.

Meant for hiking but it's too slippery

I bought this specially for trekking, but had worst experience as it was too slippery. I felt it at the very start of the trek, then one of the trek leader told me that all quechua shoes are slippery, never consider buying this if you want to go on monsoon treks. It will be too risky if you rely on this shoe

Shoes seriously hurt

I have already left a previous review about the fact that the shoe caused me pain under the ankle on slopes (in fact it is low and it must have rubbed in the wrong place or not supported the ankle enough) and very bad pain in the heel which means that today I can only walk with flip-flops because I can no longer support anything on the heel and therefore can no longer walk my dog and even less hike. I thought they had given me Achilles tendonitis, but the fact is that they are very high at the heel, and each time the foot bends, it presses in the ''break''. However, these shoes are really too small and narrow, so it is not possible to take a larger size. Decathlon responded to my comment to go to the store. No refund or exchange, I was told it was my foot's fault (although everyone here is already complaining about the narrowness of the shoe), and that I bought a first price, it's not made for walking for 3 hours. The problem is that I tried the few non-waterproof shoes in stores, even those at 80 euros, no comfort, woke up my pain under the ankle and some sensation of not being held behind, while narrow in front. So I'm leaving with these shoes that handicapped me and nothing else to replace my Arpenaz 50 and therefore don't know what I'm going to walk well with now, when I can walk again without limping. What a shame to have stopped comfortable shoes at a low price. In any case, no gesture at Decathlon. €7.50 is not expensive, but for a pain that ruins my vacation and prevents me from going out, it's very expensive.

I wore them and they seemed to fit well, but then, they caused wounds on my feet... I wouldn't recommend buying them, the foot doesn't breathe, terrible color combination for my tastes, little choice...

Mountain shoes

They are comfortable. A specialist recommended them to me for a neurological problem.

Additional Product Information

Composition

Upper of: 53.7% Polyurethane, 46.3% Polyester ; Outer sole of: 100.0% Thermoplastic Polyethylene ; Lining and sock of: 90.0% Polyester, 10.0% Ethylene Vinyl Acetate

Grippy soles

Designed in our laboratories, we use a special rubber formulation to optimise the grip and traction of this sole. We systematically research the best compromise to progress on muddy ground (grip) as on dry ground (traction).

Designed for hiking use

Our hiking boots are designed for use on hiking trails. Indeed, we choose the components of the sole and upper of our boots and test them to ensure that they are ideally suited to walking on loose trails (e.g. unpaved forest paths) or rocky trails (e.g. rocky coastal paths). Road use (tarmac) may lead to premature wear on your boots and cause discomfort. They are not suitable for mountain walking.

Durability tests

Laboratory tests were conducted to test the following elements: attachment of eyelets and webbing, assembly, toxicology, UV resistance, sole and upper component abrasion, accelerated ageing. These tests allow us to improve the quality of our products and prevent premature wear of our hiking shoes.

Which pair of socks is suitable for the quechua nh100 boots?

These shoes are slightly breathable, but not enough to evacuate all humidity created by your perspiration. Preferably use the Hike 50 Mid socks: they contain moisture-absorbing cotton and have a reverse terry-knit construction under the sock that wicks moisture away from your foot. They are also high enough to protect your ankle from the shoe. It is an excellent combination to reduce the chance of blisters.

Comfort

Our country walking boots promise one thing and that’s heightened comfort for the wearer; to this end, we have included different ingredients in this boot to take care of your feet such as the EVA foam insole (flexible thermoplastic) and the heel pad in the same material. We have also made the insole removable for greater hygiene (washing possible).

Product testing

Our Quechua global design centre is based in Passy, at the foot of Mont-Blanc in Haute Savoie. This location makes it a real meeting place for our teams (designers, product managers, engineers, etc) and outdoor sports enthusiasts. A great asset for designing quality products for your treks, and bringing you all our expertise.

Storage instructions

We recommend you store your boots in a dry, dark and, if possible, ventilated place.
