VERY COMFORTABLE, LIGHTWEIGHT AND SUITABLE FOR WALKING IN A TREK
These comments are from a Friend whims wearing these shoes: For the price, I wld give 3 stars, average. They stated it's for hiking. But it's quite hard, not that comfortable. It's not that new le, but I still get blister. I will kind of change the way I walk just before blister. The part that is pain will be very red after that.
I would like to thank you for your feedback and really sorry that these shoes did not answer to your needs. That model design for 3-4 hours nature hike, and for more protection any issue we recommend to wear NH100 Country walking socks for more comfortable when you're hike.
However, rest assured that we transfer your information to your living situation and our design and production department.

Good product for hiking.
Women's hiking shoes I purchased two weeks'back is really excellent quality, superb comfort and looks durable! One can't expect more than this from a product. I already recommended to few of my colleagues and walking friends.
It was very comfortable right from the 1st time usage. Extremely useful and rugged. Serve'd the purpose of camping and trek. Daughter was very happy with the fit and comfort levels.
Very comfortable shoes which can accommodate orthodics easily. Light weight. Good walking soles nice design and colours. Wore shoes for a 6 km walk and they were extremely comfortable!
Comfy to wear. Sturdy and good value for money.
excellent value for hiking boot in the average price range. does not feel like a hiking boot more like a running /walking shoe. excellent comfort.
Xcellent product and value for money
Positives: - 1. Offers excellent grip in natural hiking environment such as trails, small mountains, rocks, loose gravels and soil. 2. Breathability 3. Light-weight and comfortable; if it fits for you (more on that in the negative section). 4. Cost effective - A basic hiking shoes that does not needs to break the bank! 5. Almost all Decathlon products has one moto - Function over form! Negatives: - 1. Shoes are narrow, both in smaller and larger size. My wife has chosen 6.5 size, but the feet's toe portion is narrow compared to other shoes she had used earlier. This causes some discomfort after a day's usage (sometimes, hiking event may extend up to 12-18 hours) the when feet expand. For any hiking events we used to wear just a pair of shoes and never carry another one to reduce the weight of our luggage, so these narrow shoes do not allow the user to move their toes inside the shoes. I too purchased a pair of men's hiking shoes in 11 size (my foot size is 44; it is not wide feet, but normal according to the length of the feet). Knowing the limitation of the product and no alternate available, I tried fitting of the product at home, after long walk at different times in a day - noon, evening and night. Each time it gave me some discomfort, since the feet had expanded. So, I had to returned the product after a week. I with Decathlon looks into this area in the next iteration. 2. Need for an All-Purpose Shoes - An average home-grown Indian hiker's day of events are like this: a) Start from home by cycle/bike/car/public transport with extra clothing for swimming at a stream, basic food, some equipment for play like cricket/football/volleyball etc. (No extra footwear taken). b) Reach at the base location and start the hiking activity. c) Reach at the destination by hiking. d) Engage in some play/swimming/rest/food. e) Return home. Even though the expectation set by Decathlon is, it is suitable for half-a-day hiking - there is no general purpose (read all-rounder shoes) in their hiking department to meet the above purpose. 3. Color Choices - Even though the shoes are excellent for its intended use, Decathlon products do not have much attractive color schemes. In fact, not just shoes, but many of their products are like that. Maybe they can offer the products in some vibrant colors, targeted for young and middle-aged people, especially women and children. 4. In hiking department, there is no other shoes offer breathability. Everything else are water-proof, which not suitable for the climate in most part of India in most of the time.
What more could I say? Such good value for money, really nice comfy walking shoes. Keep my feet warm and dry whilst out and about walking.

The design of this sole has been the subject of extensive research in our laboratories. It is composed of a special rubber formulation that optimizes grip and traction. The sole design of the NH100 delivers more grip than traction. Traction: prevents slipping on soft ground (muddy or dry). Grip: prevents slipping on hard ground (wet or dry).
Our hiking boots are designed for use on country trails. Indeed, we choose the components of the sole and upper of our boots and test them to ensure that they are ideally suited to hiking on loose trails (e.g. forest paths made of soil) or rocky trails (e.g. rocky coastal paths). The boots may wear prematurely and feel uncomfortable when used on roads (asphalt). They are not suitable for mountain walking.
Laboratory tests are conducted to validate the following elements: tearing of the eyelets and straps, gluing, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion of the sole and the components of the upper, accelerated aging. We use these tests to improve the quality of our products and prevent the premature wear of our hiking boots.
Try on both boots while standing, with the socks worn for hiking. Try on several models or sizes if necessary. Check the following 2 comfort points: the bottom of the heel and the front of the foot going downhill. There should be no pressure points when trying them on. Feel free to walk around the store. Gradually wear in your boots over the course of a few hikes so that they conform to your feet.
Many things cause blisters when hiking: rubbing, a crease in the sock, moisture, a boot size that is too small or too big, etc. It is therefore important choose the right size and to have socks made of the right material for your hiking boots.
You must choose the right sock size for your foot so that there are no additional creases in the sock: either because the sock is too big resulting in too much material around your foot, or because the sock is too small resulting in extra material getting pulled inside the boot.
Moisture must be effectively managed when hiking: this is often unavoidable given that we perspire. If your boot is breathable, it will eliminate your perspiration. You must therefore choose socks that are both lightweight and breathable. If your boots are relatively waterproof, you will not make the same choice to protect yourself from the moisture of the rain: it is preferable to buy socks that will absorb perspiration, to keep the moisture as far away as possible from your foot.
Although this type of footwear offers some breathability, it is not sufficient to eliminate all the perspiration. We therefore recommend the NH100 Mid socks: they contain cotton that absorbs moisture and they have a plush loop construction under the sock that keeps the moisture away from your foot. What's more, they are high enough to protect your ankle from the boot. This is an excellent combination for reducing blisters.
Our hiking boots are guaranteed for 2 years. Our commitment? To offer you durable products you can take with you on all your country walks. Because the products we like the most are those with a story behind them that is still ongoing!
Our design team imagined, thought up and designed the Quechua products in France, at the foot of the Mont Blanc. We test them in the field with other hikers to make sure that they are comfortable and durable. Whether it is the Forest of Fontainebleau or Brittany for example, we visit as many trails as possible, in all weather conditions. These moments involve a lot of discussions. We use this to get your feedback and prepare our future collections!
