Perfect for bivouac

Nickel for the bivouac. With a small gas cartridge, it's the best

I recommend

The burner worked well when we went out for afternoon coffee, the coffee maker stood stably on the burner, without any fear of tipping over. Repacking was also no problem as the burner quickly returned to ambient temperature. I recommend

robust and easy to use

A well-made cooker with very good performance. It's not quite small and ultralight again, I was used to much smaller ones. But it doesn't hurt to have this more durable and powerful one as well.

For me, it's a great machine, the package also includes a very convenient packaging. It fits into the mix everywhere.

Very happy with the purchase

Light weight, easy to use, the windscreen performs its function very well and the gas regulatory key is very useful.

I already had a stove but I opted for this light and very practical model with the integrated ignition. no more need to manage lighter/matches. having had 12 days of rain in Norway it was a plus.

Impeccable, nothing to complain about

Good design and good ergonomics on this product which fully meets our expectations! It allows you to do without a lighter, perfect for bivouacs in all weathers. It does not leak, the flame is easily regulated. Use with a small pan because the flame is concentrated in the center.

Compact and removable

Frankly, for a small stove for a few days of bivouac/hiking you really need the work. Piezo ignition which works very well. For storage the supports fold, but personally I prefer to disassemble them, we save even more space. (Be careful when reassembling it to properly insert the piezo rod into the burner). My only complaint is the cover which is sturdy, but it is really too thick. In the end, I use the cover to carry a small bag of rice with stock cubes x)

Ultra light so perfect for bivouac. I haven't tested it yet but I've already printed one from a friend and it's impeccable.

Safety

This stove meets standard EN521.This stove is for exclusive use with the 3.5 oz, 8.1 oz, and 15.9 oz Decathlon - Forclaz butane/propane cartridges.Decathlon cartridges comply with standard EN417 and are compatible with the Decathlon - Forclaz Trek 500 Light and Trek 500 Remote stoves.Read the instructions and precautions for use attached to the stove.

Setting up the stove and connecting a gas cartridge:

To set up a gas cartridge, always do so in a ventilated place, preferably outdoors and never near a flame, heat source, spark, individuals, or flammable materials.Check that your stove's gas inlet is properly closed and check the location and condition of the leak-proof seal.Make sure that the cartridge is on a stable flat surface. Do not shake.

Setting up the stove and connecting a gas cartridge (continued):

Hold the device and screw in the cartridge by hand by turning it clockwise until it stops, being careful not to damage the screw thread.Follow the same instructions to take off the cartridge. It can be dangerous to use cartridges other than Decathlon - Forclaz. It's normal to hear a small fizzing sound (escaping gas) for less than 2 seconds when connecting the cartridge to the stove.

Weight and dimensions

Stove weight: 3 oz Bag weight: 0.5 ozDimensions: Ø 5.5” x H 3.7”Folded dimensions: L 3.7” x H 3.7”Weights, volumes, and dimensions may vary slightly due to production tolerances.

Ease of use

Pot stand on 3 legs, perfectly adapted to Forclaz Trek 500 stainless steel pans (Ø 5.3”).Installation: Place the stove on the cartridge to align the threads. Screw. Assemble the stove on a flat, unobstructed surface. Open the flow control valve and operate the piezo (several times if necessary). Your stove is lit.We recommend you light your stove with a pan in place above the burner.Make sure the assembly is stable.

Heating time

Our internal tests give us values that reflect the actual conditions of use. In fact, we tested our stoves with Trek 500 stainless steel pans, filled with a liter of water.Real power result: heating time to boil 1 liter of water: 3 mins 04. Real power: 2750 watts. Real consumption: 7.1 oz/hour. The results and performance of different stoves must be analyzed in a comparable way (same conditions and parameters).

Heating time (continued)

The heating time of a stove is subject to a mandatory standardized process for EU certification but does not necessarily reflect the actual conditions of use.Standard EN521 parameters (heating rate):Propane gas at 3 bar pressure, without container. Results: 4.1 kW / 10.3 oz/hour

Performance and consumption

Many parameters affect the capacity and performance of your stove: atmospheric pressure, wind, damp, etc. These can change the boiling temperature and the heating time as well as the number of liters heated with 1 cartridge. We strongly recommend using a windshield to optimize gas consumption. The performance of a stove is therefore assessed according to the gas consumed / heating speed.

Eco-design

Our teams care about the environment, so this product has been subject to an eco-design approach that consists of removing surface treatments that only have an aesthetic function. As such, we have removed the paints and anodizing on all the parts (feet and pan support, burner, gas flow control, etc.) of this stove, while still ensuring its performance, technical features, and durability.

Storage instructions

Avoid contact with moisture. Do not leave in the rain. After use or cleaning, store your stove in a dry place, taking care to unscrew the cartridge.
