Ski coat

Very pretty, very pleasant. Full of very practical options: skirt, lining at the cuffs, opening for ventilation. The collar goes up very high.

WOMEN'S SKI JACKET FR 500

Light jacket, to wear with a second warm layer. Too long for my taste.

Light spring jacket

Good and pretty light jacket for spring skiing. It's a good windbreaker that breathes. But if you're looking for something lime, it's better to move on.

Fine and efficient

Light jacket but protects very well from the cold, good length in the back I strongly recommend :)

Bad coat

Due to previous experience with jackets from Wedze, I had high expectations of this jacket. Unfortunately unjustified. The jacket is not warm enough for the winter without an underlayer, let alone for winter sports. The collar is too high and too stiff, so it cuts into your face if you want to close it all the way up, which is actually not possible. The air holes under the arms are just openings, there is no mesh behind them, so if you fall while skiing you shovel your entire jacket full of snow. The hood is way too roomy, but not big enough to wear over a helmet. You can tighten it with an elastic band, but then it is really bad on your head, around your forehead. So, be warned, check if this is really the jacket for you. Oh yes, the color is much grayer than it looks in the picture.

Really good ski jacket.

This ski jacket is slight, not a big puffy one. Yet I wore it recently on days that varied from -9 degrees one morning to 5 degrees by midday. Great for layering. The arms have zips to let in the air, although I would have expected mesh, rather than nothing. It is longer than a typical jacket which is great, especially if sitting in the snow and waiting. Good wrist closers and inner layer with thumb holes for under gloves. The pockets are excellent, arm for ski pass and inside and external for everything else. I really like the colour and the hood that covers a helmut.

Too thin

Beautiful jacket and beautiful color, but looks more like a raincoat or windbreaker. Only used in a few places. Hood is huge, it gets in my way. Don't dare go out into the snow with this jacket. That's why he's going back.

This jacket is great, on or off the slopes! Good waterproofness and freedom of movement NB: as indicated in the description it is a layer 3, you must put a layer 2 underneath :)

Warmth and breathability technology

Positioned warm pads provide good thermal protection for your Freeride skiing days. This technology reserves a large area where the 3-layer membrane component can eliminate your perspiration more effectively.A perfect compromise between a fully padded jacket and a 3-layer jacket without providing any additional heat. Modularity is the key feature of this jacket so it’s important to add a warmer or cooler second layer depending on the conditions.

Additional features

Hood over helmet designed to offer maximum protection ensuring freedom of movement.Adjustable to fit 3 sizes in a single movement, using a single tightening toggle located behind the head.Tightening on the wrist and cuffs with thumb loop to prevent air and snow from getting in.Snow skirt that also reduces draughts and prevents snow from getting inside.

Ventilation

To stay dry, it is important to wear a waterproof jacket. But you shouldn't end up wet with perspiration. The vents play an important role in wicking away perspiration. This is why we have equipped this jacket with 2 ventilation zips, two large zips under the arms (30 cm in size L).

Cut

The wide fit and pre-shaped sleeves are there to free up your movements so you can ski in complete freedom. We designed this jacket with a component that has mechanical stretch. You’ll be free in your movements while remaining feminine!

Pockets

2 hand pockets with a waterproof zip.1 inside chest pocket with watertight zip.1 outer chest pocket with watertight zip.1 pocket with a zip and flap on the left sleeve for the ski pass.1 quick access inner mesh pocket.

What should you wear under your skiing jacket?

To keep warm and dry, use the 3-breathable-layers rule: A ski base later and a second layer liner jacket to retain warmth, a third layer ski jacket to protect you from bad weather. The base layer keeps you dry by wicking away the perspiration from the skin to the other layers.Provides warmth, as with down jackets or fleece sweaters.

The third layer

Protection from the outdoor elements (snow, rain and wind) by preventing them from entering (while still allowing perspiration to escape so that you do not feel ”wet inside”). It should therefore ideally be waterproof AND breathable. The third layer can also provide insulation in the case of lined trousers or jackets and thus complement the action of the second layer).

Water repellency

Water-repellent fabric allows water to run off its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from becoming waterlogged and remains light, breathable and warm. A fabric is made water-repellent by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment (we recommend every 3 washes). All Wedze jackets have received a water-repellent treatment.

Component's waterproof properties.

The resistance of a fabric is measured by the height of a water column in mm that can be supported by the fabric (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. For example, a fabric with a waterproof rating of 10000 mm is therefore resistant to the pressure exerted by a 10000 mm column of water

Product testing

Our team of designers is based at the foot of the Mont-Blanc, near many ski resorts in Haute-Savoie (France). All year round, we create and develop products that are simple and technologically advanced. These are then ruthlessly tested in the field, because we believe that the only way to continuously improve our products is to test them under the real-life conditions that you will experience in use.
