Andrew has a few more tips for you as you hit the slopes this season:
Any rules?
“My one and only rule is to always have fun! A positive attitude is the only way to continually progress and enjoy your time snowboarding.”
- Board Maintenance: “Wed’ze snowboards are sold ready to ride. After 5 trips, I suggest getting your board waxed, and at the end of the season, I recommend getting the edges re-tuned. After each day, it is important to make sure your board is dry. When I return home and put my snowboard away, I make sure to grab a towel to dry the entire board in order to prevent rust.”
- Binding Placement: “You first need to determine if you are a regular or goofy rider. Having your left foot in the front is considered regular, while right foot forward is considered goofy. The best way to determine this is to mimic how you ride a skateboard or scooter. Bindings can also be placed at different angles. For beginners, it is best to place both bindings at +15 degrees and change as you see fit. The standard freestyle set-up is called ‘duck,’ and has the front binding at +15 and the back binding at -15.”
