Questions & Answers
Look for product information, frequently asked questions, opinions...
Question:
Can I swap these flat handle bars to drop bars? Using a third party brand?
Answer:
For sure you can, but that typically also envolves replacing the shift and brake levers.
Question:
Why didn't decathlon and rear hanger on this bike? If the origional price was indeed 900 dollars a rear hanger couldn't have impacted profit on a sale that drastically.
Answer:
Unfortunately this model was speced without a replacable rear dearaileur hanger. The Cost is driven by the aggregate of the components, in an effort to create the best value this is, unfortunately a production decision, but I have to agree...it would have been nice.
Question:
If I pick up in Oakland will the bike come assembled?
Answer:
Unfortunately not, but they do come about 95% assembled. So the assembly should take you about 15 minutes or less
Question:
What is the maximum size of tires I can fit to this bicycle
Answer:
This bike can take up to a 700x36mm tires - prehaps up to a 38 if it does not have knobbies
Question:
Same bike's new model has different handles, is it possible to get with new handles? I am 6 feet and 185 pounds so I think L works for me but I want that handle.
Answer:
The bike actually comes both ways, flat bar and drop bar, but we may be out of stock on some of them if they are not on the webiste. We do not plan on bringing the bike back in the future, hence the clearance pricing.

Product Customer Reviews
PURCHASED bike defective front brake and derailleur as soon as I picked it up. After 4 attempts to adjust my front brake in two different decathlons, they ended up sending the bike back to change the brake for free, which finally works! And finally, my derailleur which is malfunctioning SINCE purchase, “it is not under warranty”. It's crazy, we now need a guarantee to repair the seller's mistakes. As a result, I'm tired of having to fight just to assert my rights to have a bike that works normally upon purchase. So I'm going to stay with this dysfunction now, I can't stand having to go begging anymore... frankly very disappointed with the after-sales service, I appreciated Decathlon until now. It really disgusts me, especially after investing €550, I can't afford to buy another one. Reading the other reviews, I read a recurrence of the derailleur malfunctioning. Otherwise I've had other decathlon bikes and I've never had any problems.
I don't know if it's bad luck for me or the bike itself which is of poor quality but I have a lot of problems with this bike: bent rear derailleur, chain rubbing on the front derailleur depending on the speed, defective front tire, and recently the rear brake locked for no reason during a ride. In addition, the equipment supplied with the bike is of poor quality: the bell and front light do not fit on the handlebars
The bike is fast and of good quality. On the other hand, I am a little disappointed because the speed adjustment is not good at all. The vertical handle turned while driving, it could have been dangerous. I had a puncture at the point of only 16km (maybe the fault of bad luck). When in doubt, I changed the tire to reinforced tires. Rust appeared on the case and chain after a ride in the rain. (The bike sleeps in a garage). I'll have to go back to the store for the adjustment but I don't know how long they'll keep it and I need it.
versatile bike, easy to handle, very practical to transport. I even go on mountain outings with it.
Not a bad bike, replaced the steel frame SS for me in the city. It's fast, easy, you can drive with it, and even a small climb won't bother you. I had reservations about the mechanical disc brake, but it was completely unnecessary. Better than the V brake on the old bike and the two-point horseshoe brake on the SS bag. There are no problems with the factory tires either, they have about 200 km on them so far. The saddle is comfortable. The hobby category can be felt in the operation of the gearbox. The so-called assembly was crappy, the wheel adjustment and the brake had to be adjusted at home. But that's not the bike's fault. All in all, it is a completely acceptable vehicle in terms of price-value ratio. What's even better is that there were front and rear lights, simple but very bright.
This is the 2nd one I have of this model, as an extra bike in the countryside. light, quite responsive, perfect for one-off outings of 4 to 6 hours, without performance ambitions
frankly pleasant. versatility to improve with cyclocross tires
excellent bike for beginners, the only downside is the wheels. versatile, pleasant, I recommend
Hello, Very good advice seller who knows his subject well. On the other hand, I regret that the bike was not ok at the time of delivery. In fact, after picking it up, I had the reflex to try it out on the road before leaving the store. The rear derailleur was not adjusted. Forced to go back to make an adjustment. Sincerely.
Very good bike and above all light
With an 11 speed gearbox it would be perfect
Very good to start
I'm rediscovering road cycling, aiming to do light backpacking, that's why I took this straight handlebar. I'm thinking of adding a luggage rack, a front bag, 2 water bottle holders, and two horns on the handlebars. I would have preferred a smaller tray, because at the mini 34x34 it's a little big, but it works. I went off the rails twice when going from the small to the large chainring, but everything seems to be well adjusted, perhaps we need to take it more slowly. product that does the job. Decath should offer bikepacking packs, Oh yes, I'm 1.80 tall, the site recommends an M, having tried both, it would definitely be an L,
I bought this bike a year ago and I can tell you that I made a big mistake. After the first 6 months the problems started to show and I had to repair this bike for various problems like gears, brakes, tires, tubes and other parts. You should spend the money on something other than this crap.
Very pleasant to use for commuting to work every day
