I bought this mattress because it has a promising new look which promises superior comfort to the other model in their range Unfortunately I didn't have time to try it from the first use I found myself on the floor in the middle of the night impossible to find the cause I tried several times to reinflate it to check the valves nothing in the end I recommend against it

More comfortable than significantly more expensive premium brand models that I have had before. Less feeling of “rolling” when moving at night. A little heavier too, but with this thickness I suppose that's normal. Obviously a little dusty after a few uses, but it's acceptable and it's for a good cause. The double valve is practical and seems an a priori reliable solution - which was not the case on all the models I had.

Missing the same mattress with thermal insulation
Used for hiking (autonomy) and bikepacking, this mattress is light and takes up little space when folded. It also corrects the main problems of the previous model (MT500): - Once inflated, the surface is very flat, unlike the MT500 and its "fluffs", - more anti-slip patches above and below for better support on the tent floor and better grip of the sleeping bag (the MT500 was a real soap). Other advantages: - The inflation bag integrated into the transport bag is very practical, - the slightly larger width for more comfort (often 20 in/51 cm for other brands). The only criticism I can make is that you have to find the right inflation to be comfortable on it. You have to use the trick of inflating it well and pressing the air inlet valve to deflate it gently and find the “sweet spot”. Overall, very good value for money in the lightweight mattress category. Suggestion to the development team: a super wide “deluxe” model (30 in/76 cm) for people who move around a lot.
I am very satisfied with the comfort. After trying all the Decathlon hiking mattresses, this is the only one that allows me to sleep comfortably. On the other hand, for the so-called "high-end" mattress from Decathlon, they could have made a 3-season mattress rather than one that can only be used in summer. If you have to add a foam mattress in winter it is no longer the same weight.

Trial for 14 days and in summer hiking. Mattress of a range equivalent to the major hiking brands and at a slightly lower price. Storage bag for inflating the mattress. Very good mattress, to buy without hesitation if it is in your budget.

How to choose the size of your mt900 mattress
This model is available in L and XL version. The difference between the 2 sizes on the length (180 cm for the L; 195 Cm for the XL) and width (56 cm for size L; 63 cm for the XL).To choose the mattress that best suits you, you must consider your stature, but not just that. Your preference and/or your preference for space around your shoulders should also be considered. So, even if you are 1.75 cm, you will prefer the XL!
How to inflate your mattress
To prevent moisture from being blown into the mattress, we recommend that you use the pump bag in the pouch.To do this, unroll the entire pump bag/pouch. Connect the valve of the pump bag to the “IN” valve of your mattress. Blow to about 10-20cm from the inlet of the pump bag, to inflate the main volume as much as possible. Roll the bag on itself to the valve to push the air out of the main bag into your mattress.
Tips for sleeping well on your mattress
Once you are lying down, remember to adjust the inflation pressure of the mattress by slightly pressing the IN valve (open cap). A mattress that is too hard is often synonymous with discomfort.Silicone patches on the top of the mattress are designed to reduce the sliding of your sleeping bag on the mattress.Other patches on the underside reduce the slippage of the mattress on the floor of your tent.
How to repair a leaky mattress
An inflatable mattress is not puncture-proof, but it can be repaired!When using it, take every care when installing and handling it. In the event of a problem, we recommend using self-adhesive repair patches (ref: 8557113).More care advice is available on the Decathlon Sport Advice website.
What is the r-value?
The R-Value is a measure of the thermal insulation. It measures the ability of a mattress to retain or prevent heat from escaping from a warm body (human body) to a cold floor.The higher the R-Value, the better the insulation of the mattress.It should be noted that R-Values add up; this means that you can use 2 mattresses and add up their R-Value.All our mattresses are tested to standard ASTM F3340-18.
