Question:
I'm confused about the torso lengths for this?
Answer:
When choosing the size of a hiking backpack, it’s important to take into account your body shape. The backpack size should be adapted to your back. It’s measured from the base of your neck to your hips and the grip of the stomach strap should be comfortable on your hips. How to accurately measure your torso for optimal backpack fit? To ascertain this crucial measurement, enlist the help of a friend and have a pliable tape measure on hand. Bend your head forward and locate the bony protrusion where your shoulder slope meets your neck—the 7th cervical (C7) vertebra, marking the top of your torso length. On either side of your body, run your hands down the ribcage to the apex of your hip bones (known as the iliac crest). Align your index fingers forward and your thumbs backward, creating an imaginary line between them. The point on your lumbar region where this line intersects is the base of your torso measurement. Maintain an upright posture, and ask your friend to measure the distance between the C7 and the imaginary line formed by your thumbs. This measurement constitutes your torso length.

Product Customer Reviews
Went on a pilgrimage for the first time last year. As I didn't have a backpack, I tested it thoroughly in shops and with friends. It was important to me that it had good ventilation, a long strap so that I was stable (there were several brands that I couldn't close), an adjustable back, not just packing from the top, at least one compartment at the front, a pole holder, lots of options for stowing small items so that you can get to them quickly, and 40-50 liters because more stable people have bulkier clothing. Deuter was comfortable but the storage options were massive here, Vaude Assymetric is currently narrow and therefore wobbly, Brenta 44+6 is the perfect size but too few compartments. I then decided on this one. Despite the total weight of 10 kg, when I had water and poles on the bag, I couldn't feel it after 2 days. My small Decathlon sleeping bag, sandals, swim slippers and silk sleeping bag fit perfectly in the compartment at the bottom. On top I put the two moon-shaped packing socks, which I can recommend, and jackets and bags with technology and toiletries. The front opening makes packing really easy. I was always faster than my girlfriend because of this. Taking bottles out the front was great because you didn't have to take the backpack off. I had too much with me but there was still room at the top if necessary. Next time I'm going without a sleeping bag and I think 40-44 liters would be enough, but because it fits so well and you can't feel it on your back after 2 days, I'm taking it anyway. Make another version with maybe 38 + 8 or something like that... What could be improved... the bags on the belt could be a little bigger, the pole holders are very tight, I made an elastic extension with a hair tie because otherwise I couldn't attach the foldable ones. Otherwise everything is great and worth a cent.
It holds less stuff than my old 40l backpack. The side pockets for a water bottle are completely impractical, the bottle falls out every time you bend over and gets in the way of your elbow when you walk. The backpack is too high, so you can't straighten your head all the way and it hurts your neck after wearing it all day. But not only that, the stiffness of the frame and hip belt causes pain in both the hips and collarbones, despite many attempts to adjust the harness. I strongly advise against purchasing it. If the return fails, I will want to sell it and buy another backpack. The only plus is the look, so you may be frustrated and sore, but you look good on the trail.
a little difficult to adjust (especially between xs/s/m/l and the straps) and no video on the site to adjust it correctly... a shame otherwise delighted with lots of appreciable compartments to save space
I am 1.54 m tall and the bag, despite the adjustments, falls too far on the hips which causes redness and pain as well as around the collarbones. Too bad because the storage level is well suited to my 5 day trek in bivouac. It might be wise to set a minimum size for its use.
RAS
It has accompanied me during my stages doing the Camino de Santiago (with quite a few complicated ups and downs) and it has been comfortable for me, as it has several compartments I had everything well organized, even the compartment for the bottle I was able to take it without problems. The zippers held up well. In short, I recommend it for this type of adventure of more than a week as was my case; good value for money. Sometimes it is worth spending a little more and having plenty of space.
Conforms to use and color out of the ordinary for this type of product
Happy with my purchase!
I am delighted about it. No back pain despite the weight of the belongings. I adopted it for long hikes.
I like it very much but I made a mistake in not being able to take it with me on the plane. However, it is still very convenient for checking in luggage when traveling abroad. It is also very useful for mountain climbing and moving.
Great backpack, lacks a bit of shoulder length
When traveling or hiking, she can no longer do without it.
a little touch of pink for a woman's bag could be nice!! ;-)
The bag itself is great, it’s a shame not to have a different color choice… but we make do with it
Great bag in terms of storage However I tested it over two days with 14kg on my back. I had extreme pain in my shoulders as well as my hips. And at the level of the straps, the bag squeaks...

Recommended carry weight
According to the project for which this backpack was designed, we recommend you don’t load it above 15 kg. Then you can benefit from all its features. Moreover, it’s not recommended to carry a load greater than 20-25% of your own weight and put too much pressure on your back.
How to pack a backpack?
Put your bedding at the bottom. Put heavy gear (tent, camp stove, food) near your back. Store your clothing around it. A groundsheet or tent can be placed under the flap or under the bag if there isn't room inside. Keep your waterproof jacket and fleece to hand. Place small items for daily use (sun cream, map, glasses etc.) in the pockets. The water bladder can be placed in the compartment provided down the back.
How to use the multi-use straps?
The new range of MT500 AIR and MT900 UL bags has two straps with open aluminium buckles (on the lower part of the bag). These straps let you hook on a tent or mattress under the bag or on the barrel. If not in use, these straps can be stored (by pushing them inside) in the hidden pocket intended for this or detached and used elsewhere with the lark's head knot buckle.
Female body shape
Our women's models are adapted to their body shape (chest and hips) with a more open shoulder strap shape and a higher fitted belt for greater comfort and freedom of movement.
