Question:

I am 5''5 guy and this bike seems to be the only one in budget for me so would it be okay if I buy it? or would it be wise to wait for the S sized RC120 to be back in stock.

Answer:

Unfortunatly this is a model we will not carry forward.

Question:

Hello- I am looking to purchase a road bike as a 5’4” woman. The model ( Triban 100 aluminum)- (5’1” - 5’5”. I am wondering if I would fit a small bike size at 5’4” .

Answer:

Yes a small should fit you correctly. You will of course need to adjust the seat height.

Question:

This bike is listed as womens but sizes listed by Decathlon do not match suggested sizes in product information section which are slightly smaller. Is this bike unisex sizes or womens? I am a 5'7.5 woman and would like to know which size to get. Thanks.

Answer:

You are really between sizes. There are several factors that go into proper sizing. Your inseam and torso legnth are key. If you are built 50/50 you might lean toward the small. If you have longer legs and a shorter torso, you might benifit from the medium. ( side note, I am 5'7" and ride a medium)

Question:

I'm a 5'9" guy. Is the main reason this bike is a women's bike and not unisex the bike seat? Any other differences that will make it not a good fit? And as someone who is 5'9" with long legs, should I go with a medium or a large?

Answer:

Correct - not much difference except the seat, I am 5'7" and the medium is a great fit for me. I have slighly longer legs than torso. In your case, I might opt for the Large.

Question:

Hi! I was wondering if there is more size S model restock?

Answer:

Unfortunately not - we will not be replenishing this model.

Question:

Hi! I am 5'8" guy, Is size L okay for me?

Answer:

Yes it should work as the bikes run small.

By Thierry on Feb 28, 2024 | STAFF

Question:

Hi there, Im 6 foot guy 185 pounds - is L ok for me?

Answer:

It is probably fine but they run a touch on the smaller side, so I would consider a slightly diffrent bike as well, such as the RC120 in an XL

Very good entry-level racing bike

I'm 165cm tall and the XS bike is a great fit for my first triathlon. The saddle is quite comfortable, the handlebars are easy to position even for beginners thanks to the second brake lever in the middle, and the gears are good. Perfect for €399!!

top

my first road bike model chosen for the single speed chainring and the v-brakes no regrets, for 400€ + 135€ for the automatic pedals and shoes we have a fast and comfortable bike which allows us to go far 300km rolled added a rack light luggage (700gr) for more versatility my only regret is the double brake controls, despite what the seller advised me they are very difficult to remove

Perfect for getting started

This bike is perfect for those who are new to road cycling or for those who want to use it for commuting. It is rather light and durable, the presence of double brakes is very reassuring and useful when you are starting out or in places with heavier traffic.

Braking system suitable for a balance bike for children, absolutely inadequate for a bike with cycling touring ambitions. I changed the front brake pads with a pair of Shimano Ultegra and the result is a little better but is far from a sufficient impression of safety. For the rest the bike is interesting, a little heavy but with a good quality/price ratio.

So impressed with this bike!

This bike has been a revelation. I've been riding a mountain bike on forest tracks and canal paths for years, and wanted something with less resistance when cycling on the road. I took this out on a coastal ride, and found the seat comfortable, upright position perfect, gear shifts effortless, and the double brakes a fantastic design (the brakes on the top handlebars were great for steeper downhills). I went briefly on tracks with no problem, and it was so responsive on the road. The only thing I'd like is one lower gear for steeper climbs - I can do without the highest one as a trade off! After using triple chainsets for years, I have found I mostly use 3 comfortable gears that suit my pace, and one super low gear, so the move to a single chainset is a good design for me, and I certainly liked the mid-range gears. Overall, I am very impressed with this bike so far!

Excellent bike for a young person

Bike that combines low weight and great ease of use (single chainring). It's perfect for a teenager. It can be easily "cycled" thanks to the eyelets for the mudguards and the luggage rack. And we even find the bottle cages perfectly matched to the frame ;-)

very good bike for beginners

I bought this bike a month ago now, I wanted to start road cycling. I am very satisfied with it, it is easy to use, and the double braking system is great for beginners. However, when changing gears, it "cracks" and I don't know where it could come from, I'm thinking of taking it to a workshop to find the source of this problem. Despite this, I recommend this bike for beginners, at this price, you can go for it with your eyes closed.
