Without a backpack,…

Without a backpack, the gusset is inconvenient. Maybe be able to keep it folded in this case

Very good product. A few opening holes for breathability improved the product.

waterproof

used only once for the moment. it was raining the day I bought it. I walked for 5 hours in heavy rain. more practical to use than a poncho. I didn't have a problem putting it on over my small bag (9 liters) I rather use a jacket which covers less, but is easier to wear

Covers well and resists rain for 8 hours without problem

It protects well from…

It protects well from rain and wind, so the job is done! But it's impossible to carry for a long walk, it very quickly becomes a traveling hammam. However, I tested it with temperatures below 10°, and at a certain point I preferred the rain to the hammam. How come there aren't even any ventilations??? I had to do some at Opinel, and it was a little less serious.

rain cape

its only fault, not easy to slide on the back to protect the bag when you are alone.

It does its job

The cape worked well in light rain, but has not yet been tested in other conditions.

Perfect for what you need, very sturdy which isn't a bad thing, those that are too light on the first windy day end up being thrown away.

Good value for money

Perfect. Very good waterproofing.

)))

The raincoat is cool - it does not get wet, it covers all the necessary parts of the body, there is also a visor on the hood. And relatively compact and light.

Covers backpack well with good sleeve length

Perfect for hiking. Too bad it only comes in black

Protects the wearer well...

Protects the wearer and their backpack well but be careful of condensation which makes the poncho almost as wet inside as outside

Additional Product Information

Composition

Main fabric: 100.0% Polyester ; Coating: 100.0% Polyurethane

Fit and sizing information

Good coverage for hikers between 157 and 173 cm in height (size S/M) or 174 and 190 cm (size L/XL) and carrying a 60L maximum backpack. Hood can be tightened thanks to elasticated drawcord and stopper toggle. The ends of the sleeves are cuffed with an elastic binding that prevents water from entering your sleeves. This rain cape is easy to get on and off thanks to its long front zip which slips easily over the head.

Additional recommended products

To complete your outfit, we recommend overtrousers or waterproof gaiters to fully protect your lower legs. For greater breathability, the waterproof hat can also be attached to the poncho!

Component waterproofing

We measure a fabric's resistance to water pressure, expressed in terms of the height of a water column in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. Components scoring 2000 mm can resist the pressure from 2000 mm of water (which is equivalent to a rain shower lasting two hours).

Waterproofing of the garment

This garment has been validated in a shower test under 60 litres of water / m² / hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains.

Component breathability

Our rain poncho and cape ranges do not come with a waterproof/breathable membrane. Therefore, we recommend calm, gentle use to reduce perspiration rather than fast hiking!

Component water resistance

The water-repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight, warm and breathable. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment needs to be renewed throughout the lifetime of the garment (every 3 washes). All Quechua ponchos and capes have a water-repellent treatment.

Care

We recommend you use a re-waterproofing product (spray or liquid)To renew the fabric's water repellent-properties and optimise the garment's performance throughout its lifetime.

Storage instructions

Long-term storage: dry thoroughly and fold in its bag.
