Question:
How’s it compared to “shake dry “ from Gorewear? Quality of zipper? Are the wrist bands Velcro? Does it have pockets in back? Will it fit in a jersey pocket? Thanks
Answer:
It is a lightweigh, wind and water resisitant garment. Very good quality, no velocro on the wrist. 1 pocket in the back, and will easily fit in a jersey pocket.

Product Customer Reviews
very light and very compressible
Tested on the Orbea monegros 2024 with plenty of water and it is not very waterproof, the water entered through the seams. It is difficult to put it in the bag due to the small size in the case of the XXL
Very good product as described. I recommend
Good product
Excellent design, very comfortable, thoughtful and very useful details. I haven't taken any water yet to evaluate its waterproofness, but the value for money is super excellent.
Perfect, waterproof and windproof. No wind resistance, that's all we ask of it.
It was supposed to be my second same jacket. The first one, unfortunately, has already been seriously eroded by the teeth of time. Unfortunately, this one turned out to be much too small. Supposedly the same model, same size. But unfortunately it's too small for my size. I am 186 cm tall, 120 cm chest, approx. 100 cm waist. Missing 1"X" in size. It's a shame because the first one was perfect. Small, light, waterproof. But I can confidently recommend it for "smaller" users.
Excellent, it protects well from the wind during long descents and from rain that isn't too long. Good breathability thanks to the holes on the back and underarms. Exceptional product, like more renowned and expensive brands; already purchased other times in the past. The cut is slim but not exaggerated: I'm 178 cm and 76 kg, chest 100 cm, I took a L and I'm happy with it. The M is a little tight around the belly and short. I am an amateur cyclist and I prefer tight-fitting but not pro-style clothing (I wear the L for the other high-end Van Rysel products). The pocket for storing it is the only flaw as it is a little small: it is tiring to fold it inside. One a little bigger and perhaps with a zip would be perfect
Very compact when folded, warm and pleasant in cold and windy conditions. It breathes surprisingly well and holds up to rain reasonably well for a while. It is not a garment for heavy rain, but it is perfect as an accessory in variable weather.
Very good jacket for rain and cold. When I'm cold, I put it on over my cycling clothes, I stay warm but I don't boil thanks to its breathability.
It fulfills its function, is light to wear and fits snugly.
Honestly perfect, protects from the elements, even keeps you warm... but this comes precisely from a slight lack of breathability, not a problem in my opinion, this jacket has served me well.
light, well cut (L for 185cm). Space-saving. Only the folding pocket is too tight so that it won't be a hassle to put it back ;-(
I didn't actually purchase this jacket - I went to the store with the intention of buying one but spent nearly half an hour trying to get it to fit inside the pocket. The main thing I was looking for was a jacket that I could pack away, for this reason I didn't buy it. Fit was ok, seems like good quality and lightweight but because I couldn't pack it away quickly I decided against it.
I used the jacket in light rain for up to 2 hours and it works fine, although I haven't tested it in a downpour. I recommend it with reservations - many. It's worth reading other comments - I confirm, the ends of the sleeves are very, very narrow and it is difficult to put it on over a T-shirt with gloves. I don't even try to wear something with long sleeves. On the other hand, once you put it on, it protects your wrists quite well. Washed repeatedly at 30° and looks like new. Breathing is average, if it's warm it's an oven.

Product waterproofing
Waterproofing is a fabric's ability to prevent rain water from passing through. A fabric's waterproofing is determined by measuring its resistance to the pressure exerted by a water column, measured in mm (test based on ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. Material with a waterproof rating of 2000 mm resists the pressure exerted by 2000 mm of water (which roughly corresponds to a 2-hour rain shower). Our Ultralight jacket is waterproof up to 2000 mm.
Breathability
To determine whether a fabric is breathable, we measure its evaporative resistance (test based on standard ISO 11092). The lower its resistance, the more the fabric will let water vapor produced by the body escape, and therefore the more breathable it is. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable materialThe RET of our Ultralight showerproof jacket is 6.
Product tests
Our team of product designers is based at the B'Twin Village in Lille (France). All year round, we conceive and develop new products that are easy to use, look great, and have the technical features needed for your cycling experiences. They are then mercilessly put to the test by users in the field, as we are convinced that only by subjecting our products to real-world conditions, such as the ones you will experience on your bike, can we continuously improve them.
Care tips
Hand wash only. Turn the article inside out. Use a minimal amount of laundry detergent. Do not use fabric softener. Line dry in a warm, ventilated area. Do not tumble dry. Do not tumble dry. Do not bleach. Do not place on a heater to dry.
