Top notch bike, very…

Top notch bike, very good value for money. Maybe just the combo lock handle which I don't find very in keeping with the aesthetics, the line of the bike

Evaluation after driving 500 km

Probably the worst thing on the bike is the Reba fork, which is not sensitive to bumps, so I replaced it with Sid! And it's not the fault of one piece! This is how the fork behaved on the Xc900S! Otherwise, another minus is the Sram brakes, which have a long lever step but brake well (on recommendation I changed them to a schimano), decathlon offers them directly, shortened exactly to the bike! Otherwise, the best bike I've ever had! I enjoy every time! The people from the decathlon Tabor service probably give me the greatest pleasure for their approach to the customer and the kind of work they do! Including pleasant and helpful saleswomen!

race900s crossmax sls manual derailleur

Return after 1.5 months of use and 700km and comparison with my XC100S (upgraded to SRAM GX 12V). Fitting Mavic Crossmax SLS wheels for comparison with the same wheels. In terms of performance, the 32/10 of the Race900S is as easy as the 32/11 of the XC100S, it goes faster. The difference is especially clear when accelerating, it accelerates harder and for longer. It's more exhilarating. Even with a gear that's a little too big, when you press it goes away. Suspensions filter better. The bike is agile, playful, easier downhill. Overall I find cycling easy, pleasant and comfortable. Concerning the criticisms on braking, you should not trust the opinions on this site written on the 1st exit. Braking really improves after a few rides (100 km?). Afterwards, I imagine that there must be better but it should not change much, no problem of heating on the descents of the Toulouse hills (around 100m difference in altitude). The downsides: no adjustment of the bike upon purchase, average rear wheel grip in high percentages, not perfect gear shifting unlike the XC100S with 11-50 cassette. Either it's because of a slight out of round of the cassette (cassette or freewheel?) or 10-52 is a little too much for manual derailleur. To do it again I would have taken the AXS.

A machine.

Incredible comfort with the 2 suspensions. A little heavy on restarts and in false rising flats but the suspension locking works perfectly. A machine as soon as the speed increases. I recommend.

Very playful bike and…

Very playful bike and sufficiently responsive for restarts. a very good equipment and quality/price ratio! and above all the effective blocking of the assembly for superior performance on the wheel. Excellent choice this bike, I do not regret my choice! Can't wait next Sunday for me to release it again

I only have one thing...

I only have one thing to say...EXCEPTIONAL MOUNTAIN BIKE

Excellent value!

I acquired the model with the Crossmax and the classic group, with cable. The only modification made from the start is the tubeless assembly with Mavic valves (not supplied with the bike....). After regular use, overall we are on a machine with excellent value for money, in line with what Decathlon does in this price range! I just have a few comments to bring to your attention: - an intermediate position between locking and full opening of the fork and suspension is missing - the brakes clearly lack bite (but we already knew that!) - the tire front to be mounted in a reinforced version for an extra weight of only a few grams. I repeat, these are only marginal remarks, this mountain bike is a great product! Treat yourself!!

excellent mountain biking

Bravo DK for this mountain bike with unbeatable value for money. Coming from another "more prestigious" brand, the luxury SID shock absorber and Reba fork work very well. The AXS transmission is remarkably fluid. The Crossmax and Kraken tire duo provide good performance. The finish is of good quality, only the brakes lack bite. The only regret is not having waited until the end of the year to benefit from the drop in prices to offer me the most high-end.

Top sensations

A technological leap with AXS. Switched from an old full suspension in 26 and 3x9 to the Race 900S I enjoy the fast and winding courses. Not yet tested on fat and steep but I know that I will never be at the limits of the bike . My first Rockrider but certainly not the last. A great frame finally in small. Super equipped and unbeatable price. Pau bike department team at the top. Only the relationship with the sales department really deserves to be worked on...
