Super practical and functional in new condition, durable and comfortable fabric. The big flaw: the pocket zippers are very fragile. They broke on both sides after a few months of use. Fortunately the zips on the leg extensions are of better quality. Too bad to have put such a fragile element in an otherwise very good product... For my use (paragliding), the closing pockets are quite essential.

Solid zip-off trousers, many lockable pockets. Relatively heavy for backpacking.

The pants are very comfortable, both as shorts and long. The zippers do not rub anywhere, the removal of the pants is well thought out.

Lower leg zips off without removing footwear. Plenty pockets including two that act as vents for easy temp and moisture regulation. Great value at this price point. Very happy

These trousers have been designed with 3 different components:- a durable fabric (198 g/m2) on the areas that need protection from abrasion (seat, bottom of the leg at the front). This fabric is also stretchy, enabling great freedom of movement;- a light and breathable fabric (145 g/m2) on the rest of the trousers;- a very stretchy insert in the crotch area (15% elastane).

The MT500 2-in-1 trekking trousers are equipped with: - 2 zipped hand pockets;- 2 zipped thigh pockets (and 1 mesh pocket inside the right pocket);- 1 zipped back pocket.The trousers are elasticated at the bottom, so you can adjust them to fit perfectly over your shoes.The trousers are sold with a belt.
How water repellent is the component in the reinforcement zones of the mt500 2-in-1 trousers?
These trousers have water-repellent inserts (front of ankle, buttocks) that let the water slide off the fabric's surface. Please note, this does not mean WATERPROOF.The water repellency prevents the trousers from getting wet too quickly. However, this won’t be enough to keep you dry if you’re in steady rain. To do this, you will need a pair of over-trousers like the MT500 model (ref. 8736465).Water repellency can be reactivated using a reactivating water repellent spray (ref. 8800346).
