GOOD
Really very practical for my summer hikes/treks
First of all, I think these are very good pants. The only small drawback is the slightly shallow pockets.
We would have liked to wear Bermuda shorts. Like queshia and Domyos 10 years ago.

These flexible pants are great! You have many pockets and you have a pair of long pants and shorts only in one product, great!
Optimal
I've worn the previous model. It works well and is durable...... The old model also had a back pocket. The new model does not have a back pocket.
Hopefully to have more long length stocks, as I am tall, difficult to get the size.
very practical
Ordered online: recommended size of XL (L34) for 36" waist (42" hips) I can get them on with little room to spare... a little tight in the bottock/crotch area, so hopefully there will be a little material stretching and no shrinking. * low waist * look and feel nice * Can be shortened (No cuff snaps) I'm sure if I lost a couple pounds they would fit better/slightly-looser, but it would be interesting to compare the XL to XXL, as a size 38" waist in this tailoring would be fine at my current sizing. Pants are not 'slim-fit' but they are nowhere as relaxed as I was hoping (fit more like a 34" in the areas that matter.... If they don't stretch-out a little, I may have to gift them. * Model must be wearing sizing much larger on them or, they are really skinny based on how relaxed the material appears on him. *** First time buying from Decathlon and I am wondering if these pants represent most of the standard fit/tailoring? I would invest in these again if the XXL fit more appropriately based on upping the sizing inputs from: 190lbs to 200lbs (I'm actually about 185 lbs) 176 cm height larger waist/belly (my chest is actually larger)

Hiking pants, for warm or moderate temperatures... To be seen over time in terms of resistance because the fabric still seems fragile

What is the water repellent feature of the component?
These trousers have water-repellent inserts (knees, buttocks) that let the water slide off the surface of the fabric. Please note, this does not mean WATERPROOF.The water repellent property prevents the trousers from getting wet too fast but will not keep you dry under steady rain.To do this, you will need a pair of over-trousers like the MT500 model (ref.8493660). The water-repellent properties can be restored by warming the trousers in a tumble dryer at low heat for 10 minutes
Functions
To make it easy to identify the leggings without hesitation, we have used a red zip puller on the right leg and grey on the left. So you won't confuse the two! Partially elasticated lower legs to fit your trekking boots better!

What about maintenance?
Always wash the trousers with the lower legs zipped on in order to preserve a uniform colour throughout the product.
Product testing
These trousers have been tested and validated in the field in real conditions. They were worn for 5 weeks in spring 2019 by several people who went trekking in the Canary Islands for 2 weeks, followed by 3 weeks on the GR10 route in the Pyrenees.
