The bike is ok. The brakes are strangely inefficient, I don't know if it's the pads or something else, but my Srama Vs seem more efficient.
Very fun and smooth ride
The bike is truly wonderful, it arrived very quickly, and the staff in the Rozzano bike department proved to be courteous, attentive and professional. The bike was delivered to me perfectly assembled and fully adjusted properly. I thank all the guys at Decathlon Rozzano for their availability.

The bike served me for over 2 years and I was very pleased with it until the frame suddenly broke. A visit to Decathlon and a cash refund, the bike was taken away. Topic solved with 5+.

2 years of use approximately 3500 km traveled (35 - 40 km per week) Delivery to store very good reception easy to recover Hydraulic brakes no wear or leaks (they brake as on the first day) Mechanical no problem Value for money correct Maintain it regularly (lubricate the chain 3-4 times a year - check tire pressure once a month) and store it in a dry place. In short, I highly recommend this very practical bike for everyday use (even in rainy weather)
Great bike, very nice and comfortable
I've had this item for two years and use it for city mountain biking and light mixed circuit tours. Regarding Decathlon Assistance, I am positively surprised by the team at the Decathlon da Maia workshop who have been able to solve all the problems that have arisen. In this period only one broken spoke is reported. And in a fall I had to replace discs and a spoke. The bike has good quality components, however it leaves a little to be desired when it comes to the frame as it should come with a frame with a tapered steering gear, allowing for a future suspension upgrade. Otherwise, the strengths of the equipment in my opinion are: -the fact that it has a complete Shimano Altus group, with the exception of the cassette, which has good quality and durability in general; However, a rear derailleur with clutch would be an excellent upgrade; - The brakes, despite being basic, have good mechanical performance; - The wheels, despite not being very light, have a good overall quality
A good bike for this money should be easily adjusted and centered because it jumps some gears but otherwise it does its job brilliantly. I recommend it to everyone who does not want to invest and walk on forest roads and slightly rough terrain. A plus is the presence of Hollowtech at this price. Good pedaling and fun as much as possible.
Use: Pyrenean piemond sports hike from 200 to 1200m of elevation gain / outing. I also use it for my daily trail and road trips where the st 540 is surprisingly effective in locking out the fork and very inflated. It's my first mountain bike, I've been using it for almost 2 years and I'm having a lot of fun with it, I've been able to make good progress. A few downsides: -leakage of the fork and I have to bring it back to the workshop a second time because the fork returns badly to the "high" position. -I had a problem from the purchase of systematic "chainstuck" that the workshop temporarily settled by changing the crankset, this problem comes back little by little as soon as the ground is muddy or when I ford a stream by example. However, I try to clean and maintain the transmission as much as possible. -I punctured once or twice per ride before changing the original inner tubes for anti-punctures. I find the inflation system of the latter (presta) inconvenient and ended up blocking preventing inflation. Maybe I'll go tubeless one day. -During slightly rough descents, I often reach the end of the fork's travel (100mm), nothing too bad for my level, but maybe it will be interesting to change it in the future. That said, it's a good bike, efficient on the climbs and fairly precise on the descents (wide handlebars). I really like the double chainring which in intermediate gear allows you to quickly go from small to large chainring to have torque on climbs and relaunch on descents when the trails are a roller coaster.
Hello, I acquired a 540 V2 single chainring 10 speed mountain bike in June 2023. After 2 hours of mountain biking, the gears jump. Diagnosis at the workshop: rear wheel hub out of service. The bike was immobilized for 3 weeks. Rear wheel change by after-sales service. After a week of urban use in July, the rear of the saddle cracked and the left pedal broke. I order parts from an online bicycle store in Paris. Unfortunately at the beginning of August the left pedal was torn from the crank. Workshop diagnosis the crankset needs to be changed. August 21 again the gears (large sprocket) jumping. After careful adjustment and a visit to the workshop. The rear wheel changed because too much oscillation of the casette which causes a cracking and a chain jump. As a result, my 50 kg son did 2 hours of mountain biking and around 15 afternoons of urban riding during the summer period. I have taken the bike to the workshop 3 times and I am skeptical about the quality and durability of the entire transmission. For your information, he used my old 26'' for 2 years and no problems of this order. The mountain bike should be orange and of the famous razor brand. Many thanks to the people who take the patience to provide maintenance for customers.
Since purchasing this bike, it has been used at most ten times. However, yesterday, during a walk without any particular difficulty, the left pedal started to make noise, then simply came off. However, I had checked the bike before leaving and nothing suggested this problem. But in addition to having to walk home, it is impossible for me to get back on the pedal! Looking at the comments, I see that this problem is recurring on this model, several buyers having already reported it. But as my bike was purchased at the end of January 2019, it is no longer under warranty. I hope given the circumstances (bike which has really been ridden very little and defect known to Decathlon) that a commercial gesture will be made by the after-sales service for the repair. For the moment, despite the pleasure of the product, I can only give a downgrade given the fragility.
