Questions & Answers

Look for product information, frequently asked questions, opinions...

Question:

Im 5ft 8in how do i chose between small and medium size?

Answer:

Depending on your style of riding, you can choose between the 2 different sizes. I would recommend : - S if you want the bike to be lighter, a more aggressive position (Stack is lower, so your body position will be leaning more forward). - M if you want a more comfortable position, stack is higher and you can keep a similar reach (7mm difference with S) by moving forward the saddle slightly Overall, it also depends on your morphology, if you tend to be 5ft 8 with longer legs, I would recommend the M.

edr af 105 racing bike

Absolutely high-performance bike, its precision and reactivity are incredible, I'm sorry for you skeptics of decathlon products. This bike is UCI certified and you can feel it while pedaling and riding, especially in very fast curves. I have had to deal with other cyclists with bikes from other brands... the usual ones that are synonymous with real, very expensive bikes.. ...😯😯🤦‍♂️ result?? I was there with them, this bike is relaunched with absolute ease and with little effort you can maintain excellent speeds in all situations!!!!!!! If you are a good athlete you will achieve excellent results with this bike. EXCELLENT PURCHASE!!!!!!

Don't buy this bike if you value your life

Experienced cyclist, more than 1000 passes and 40,000km in the mountains. I bought this bike in January 2024 to prepare for the summer season on a "mule" In a descent at 80km/h, without mechanical failure and without fault on my part, the bike suddenly started to steering very hard, in an irrecoverable manner => Big fall with significant bodily damage. Re-tested several weeks later, the bike steered down the first descent at 45km/h. I didn't fall just because the road went straight up; Because if it had continued to go down I would have tasted tarmac again. I would like to point out that the phenomenon is reproducible as desired. The same descent in the same place at the same speed triggers the same phenomenon again. I requested an exchange on the assumption that I came across a defective bike. We're talking about safety, falls from a bike are never trivial and after falling at 80km/h I'm lucky to be alive or not in a wheelchair. For more than two months Decathlon has been walking me around explaining to me that a file is open with her insurance who will decide... if one day she wakes up. Because despite multiple reminders nothing happens, no mail, email or call to process this file => How to try to bury a major technical fault.... If you want to stay alive or not end up crippled, don't buy not this bike!

Very good first road bike

Perfect bike for beginners in road cycling, comfortable and efficient for racking up the kilometers and discovering the mountains!

Unbeatable price/performance, the bike has a shimano 105 set, which only more expensive bikes from renowned brands have. The bike is very light, considering that it has an aluminum frame, up to 9 kg. I rode about 500 km on the bike during the summer, I had it on the trainer during the winter and there were no problems with it.

Great bike and after sales.

Good bike for the price, at least at the time of purchase, I don't remember finding any similar offer without being heavier or with different parts or cheap/useless disc brakes that only add weight. The 105 clamps are good enough and contribute to making the bike lighter in this price range, the bike has never had any problems after 1 year of use. As I bought it online, when I opened the box, I noticed considerable damage to the frame, probably caused by transport, I contacted them via email and they sent me a new bike before even returning the new one, and I even had the option of returning it to a store. or the carrier comes to the house.

Largest Sprocket broken after less than 10 rides

After a few small rides this weekend, I wanted to take a bigger ride for the first time. After less than 20 km, part of the largest front tooth was simply torn in half. This is unacceptable for a product of this price. I hope the process to rectify this goes smoothly.

I adore

the bike itself…

the bike itself is very good, good value for money. The day I came to pick it up, no action taken, adjustment not made, I had to insist on trying to have a few accessories....so I had to make do with those around me Very disappointed with the service.

Used for a couple of outings, I find it comfortable, light, with excellent components. In the saddle you have very good sensations, excellent control, solidity and excellent comfort.
