I put this 3 speed shifter on a b-twin bike without any problems. I only needed to make a small adjustment to the chainring derailleur and it was working.
Could be sold with a cable end cap. Even if it means integrating the cost of the tip into the price. This means you have to buy a pack of 10 to cover the need for one unit. It's petty. We are talking about 10 cts
