This cap is a standard size so if you have a slightly larger head circumference than average you will have difficulty wearing it or even be marked on the forehead even when adjusting it to the maximum. Add 2 or 3 cm more for the size adjustment. The neck and ear protection moves apart at the slightest breath of wind and therefore offers almost no protection because it moves apart all the time. A tightening strap to keep the sides in place is missing. The ear protection does not go forward enough, it is missing 1 to 2 cm on each side to make it start on the temples.

The product is lightweight and sun-protective, the product is worth the price, it would be more useful and more durable if the neck protection hat connection was with snaps or zippers instead of velcro.

What criteria must a cap meet in order to qualify as ”anti-uv”?
UV protection standards for hats and caps are very specific: The fabric must of course be anti-UV (UPF50+ rating), but this is not enough to claim the finished product is anti-UV. The headwear also needs to protect the back of the neck and there must be no visible openwork fabric through which the sun's rays can penetrate. This Trek 900 cap meets this standard so you can go hiking with complete peace of mind: you are perfectly protected!
How do you measure a fabric's quick drying capacity?
The product is machine washed 3 times then line dried, then we immerse it in water and measure how long it takes to get back to its pre-wash weight.This cap scored an impressive 5 out of 5 stars, returning to its pre-washed weight less than 80 minutes!
