Works really well on the x100 kayak. Improves tracking

My Itiwit x100 air kayak had rather poor straight-line stability. I have installed 3 of these fins. This significantly improved straight-line stability. The only disadvantage: The fins, which are 3 to 4 times larger, have more depth. I would take them off before whitewater passages (but the original fins would too).

The fin served me well for 2 years. It is easy to assemble and fundamentally stable. Price-performance is great. Unfortunately the fin fixing clip is broken. On the one hand, it was extremely difficult to remove the fin from the board if the clip was broken. On the other hand, the clip is not available as a spare part. The spare parts from other brands seem to have a different shape, so you can't use them either. So now I have to buy a completely new fin and throw away my fin, which is functional except for the clip. A pity! I would be very happy if Decathlon included the fixation clip in its spare parts program, especially since the same clip is probably also used on other Decathlon fins. Would fit well with Decathlon's sustainability promise.

I bought the product as a spare. Even though I pushed it hard in shallow waters, it did not suffer any damage other than minor abrasions due to friction. But I still wanted to back it up while the price was affordable. Frankly, I have seen products from other brands that are more stable in windy weather. I can't say that this keel makes it easier for you to go straight, but it is definitely durable. I will buy the carbon model as soon as possible.

I bought it to use on my ITIWIT x100+ canoe after seeing it from a video on youtube. The keels in the canoe were not stable in rough seas as they were too small for this product. After installing these keels, there was a serious increase in performance. I used it for 4-5 hours without any problems. It kept the canoe stable even though we were going against the waves and we were eating side waves :) I recommend those who want to try it by taking the necessary precautions (life vest, etc.).

I bought these fins as a replacement for the standard (much too small) fins of the Itiwit X100+ canoe. With these larger fins it is much more pleasant to sail because they stabilize the sailing direction more (less large zig-zag movements) and you are also less susceptible to the wind, otherwise the canoe will go over the water like a mop.
