Excellent

They are first price shoes. For me as a newbie they are great! They are comfortable and if you walk, I use them as normal shoes! They're fine for me

ideal for commuting

I have used them for more than 3 years in leisure and cycling mode, nothing to say, ideal for daily use over short distances (

a good shoe

I use it for a daily 18km bike ride. Size 41 fits my foot perfectly. It doesn't tighten. It sheds sweat. Pedal pressure is good. In rainy weather, it can slip on the ground.

SPD MTB shoes

I highly recommend. Hidden silent blocks DO NOT scratch the surface, e.g. in the fitness hall and others. I use the 3rd season to the max and they look like NEW Annually 12,000 KM in varied terrain :)

Low quality

After a few weeks of use, the sole of the shoe tore off when climbing a higher bench and remained stuck inside the pedal. Dangerous, weak goods. I recommend it to anyone who wants to try SPD on the cheap.

When we na...

When you don't have clipless pedals, the cutout (designed to put the wedges) in the sole is annoying because the foot moves on the pedal and the shoe sometimes even gets stuck in the notches of the pedal... A piece of sole of the shape of the cutout to be fixed would be welcome...

spd shoes

Cheap but practical shoes to use with spd cleats. After several outings with them, they seem comfortable and allow you to ride relatively well when you can't overcome a terrain mounted on the bike.

Good but some flaws to fix

This shoe has a very good value for money. Its traditional snickers look would make it the ideal choice for those who want to commute in spd without having a spare pair at work, if it did not have 2 major faults: - The laces in a synthetic material which systematically obliges to make a additional knot to be sure not to see the classic loops come undone on their own (however tight they are). - The studs which are not high enough to drown the SPD pad, which is neither good for the pads, nor for certain soils, and not pleasant in feeling as in the ear when walking. I don't have this issue with either my scotts or my northwaves, it's nice that 2mm longer cleats wouldn't cause clipping issues. These defects corrected (at least the 2nd) and equipped with boa-type quick releases (even if it means increasing the price a little), it would be the perfect shoe for bikers who pull on the pedals, or people who use the bike for utility purposes. and alternate with walking. (a market that will surely grow a lot in the near future)

TOP

I've used it for more than 6,000 klms in mountain biking in all possible scenarios, mud/dust, water... very good material and good traction on the most difficult terrains

Good quality at a good price

After two years of use, I can't say a bad word. This is my first SPD and I didn't know if we would get along. Over 4,000 km traveled in them and over 100 training sessions on spinning. Nothing wrong with the shoes. They fit very well in size, but it's an individual thing. You should try on. No discomfort on long routes, although now after getting used to the SPD and increasing my requirements, I will change them to a little stiffer. Maybe the ST500? These will continue to be tortured in training. To sum up, for the first shoes they are perfect.

Additional Product Information

Composition

Upper of: 50.0% Polyurethane, 50.0% Polyester ; Outer sole of: 65.0% Synthetic Rubber, 35.0% Ethylene Vinyl Acetate ; Lining and sock of: 100.0% Polyester

A hybrid sole? find out more.

Sometimes the terrain will force you to push or carry your mountain bike. We've therefore come up with a hybrid sole inspired by trail running (for grip on the ground) and mountain biking (for grip on the pedals) to keep you comfortable and supported whether walking or cycling. Its heel stiffener and flex grooves keep you comfortable when walking. And its multidirectional lugs drain water and mud whether going uphill or downhill, walking or cycling

Upper and tongue designed for comfort

Why should a pair of mountain bike shoes be less comfortable than a pair of sneakers? As well as the stretchy fabric and special shape on the inside, it has a 3D mesh top, sides and tongue. The fabric is great at wicking perspiration and being comfortable. The heel is also lined with foam. The ROCKRIDER team has made a design choice to put comfort at the heart of its tests and decisions, with no compromises.

Tidy laces

The team has decided to add a small, elasticated tongue to the middle of the laces so that you can keep them tidy and stop them from touching the bike's chain. Smart, eh?

Toe box

The ST 100 shoes have a reinforced toe box: a blend of PU and PES placed in areas that are likely to be struck by stones or bash against rocks.

Choosing your shoe size

You can use our size guide (higher up near the sizing section) to choose your shoe size according to the length and width of your feet. For slightly wider feet, consider getting one size bigger than normal.

What about cleats? find out more

When you start mountain biking, clipless pedals aren't necessarily your priority. This is why these shoes grip the pedals well, even without cleats. And if you want to take the plunge, the sole has a rigid section for fixing cleats without having to adjust everything!Easily attach your SPD cleats thanks to the 2 holes (usually 4) and a reference guide engraved into the surface of the sole.

Which pedals are compatible?

Which cleats and/or pedals can you use with your shoes? For the best fit, use the following models:-BTWIN SPD DUAL 500-BTWIN SPD CLIPLESS 100-BTWIN SPD CLIPLESS 520-SHIMANO SPD DUAL M324-SHIMANO SPD CLIPLESS M520-SHIMANO SPD CLIPLESS XT-M780Compatibility with ENDURO / FREERIDE clipless platform pedals is not guaranteed (e.g. B'Twin SPD Clipless 540, Shimano SPD Clipless Enduro XT-M8020, Shimano SPD Clipless M424). For these pedals, you will need to try them first.

The story behind the st 100 shoes

Here's something we noticed: when you start mountain biking, you spend some time on your bike but some next to it. To give you a shoe that is equally comfortable for walking and cycling, our 4-person team spent 2 years designing, prototyping, and performing lab and field tests with 50 different people. The result is a shoe that gives you grip when walking and when riding on mountain bike trails.

Our team's advice

We'll leave you with a few tips from our mountain bike design team:”Even without cleats, these shoes grip the pedal well so you can push off without worrying about slipping and having the pedal whack you in the shin. It's also a chance to try out cleats without breaking the bank. To avoid any nasty falls, tuck the loops of your laces under the elastic band in the middle of the foot!”

Product testing

Our engineers always have real riders test all our products in real conditions. These tests round out our lab tests and let us validate all our products before they hit store shelves.
