Question:

Does Decathlon intend to ever restock waterproof shoes? You've been out of my size 12 in every non-boot shoe for a long time. I've worn out the first pair I bought and loved the shoe.

Answer:

We are sorry for the inconvenience this has created for you. Unfortunately, this model is not available in size 12. We recommend looking at this shoe ''https://www.decathlon.com/products/quechua-mens-mh100-waterproof-mid-hiking-boots-307814?adept-product=quechua-mens-mh100-waterproof-mid-hiking-boots-307814&variant=31629261471806&adept_product_id=quechua-mens-mh100-waterproof-mid-hiking-boots-307814&source=search'' as an alternative. It has a size 12 available at the moment.

Good value for money

Good value for money

Very comfortable and versatile shoes

Comfortable and versatile sneakers

Excellent and unbeatable value for money. Comfortable shoes, taken to use in the city when it rains and for some quiet walks in the mountains. The only 2 flaws are the aesthetics, which are not great (but that's subjective) but above all the poor grip on a hard wet surface which, in a waterproof shoe, is a bit of a contradiction, otherwise they would be 5 stars. Of course, there are better performing shoes (and decidedly more expensive) but for quiet use they are truly excellent.

I have been buying Quechua WTP for years. The look changes, but the shoe never disappoints. Awesome for this price!

Decent for the city and for driving.

I've had them for over a year. The soles are hard and clatter almost like a lady's heel. Waterproofness I haven't had the chance to test yet. However, they are certainly not suitable for mountain and wet terrain. I've had a few slippery situations in the city that luckily only got away with a slight jolt. They are relatively comfortable for driving, as well as for everyday use in the city. In a year and a little not very intensive use, they started to get a little tight in the back, at the heels.

Additional Product Information

Composition

Upper of: 50.0% Polyamide, 5.0% Elastane, 30.0% Polyurethane, 15.0% Polyester ; Outer sole of: 100.0% Butadiene Rubber ; Lining and sock of: 70.0% Polyester, 30.0% Polyurethane

Resistant soles for walking trails

The sole’s design is the result of long research carried out in our labs. It is composed of a specific rubber formula which optimises grip and traction. We are systematically looking for the best compromise for walking on soft (e.g. forest paths) and stony (e.g. coastal paths) hiking trails. When used on roads, this can lead to the premature wear of your boots and cause discomfort. They are not suitable for mountain walking.

Tested for optimal durability

Laboratory tests were conducted to test the following elements: tearing eyelets and straps, gluing, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion resistance of outsole and upper components, accelerated ageing. These tests allow us to improve the quality of our products and prevent premature wear of our hiking shoes.

Waterproof boots for 2 hours of hiking in rainy weather

The NH100 Low-rise WP boots are waterproof for two hours of hiking. They have been laboratory tested for 2,000 flexes. Once the boots have dried out, they are waterproof once again.During the waterproofness test, we test 3 levels of waterproofness:- 2,000 flexes, approx. 2 hours hiking- 4,000 flexes, approx. 4 hours hiking- 8,000 flexes, approx. 8 hours hiking

How do we test the waterproofing of your shoes?

Laboratory- and field- tested, these shoes have a membrane to ensure optimal waterproofing and breathability. First, the shoe is immersed in water while internal air pressure is applied to check that no bubbles form on the surface of the footwear. Next, shoes are fitted to a mechanical arm that simulates walking and half immersed in water so we can test that the inside remains perfectly dry.

How to choose the size of my walking boots?

Try on both shoes, standing up, with the socks worn for hiking. Try on several models or sizes if necessary. Check two comfort points: - the heel seating- the front of the foot on a downward slopeAvoid any pressure points when fitting. Feel free to walk around to test the comfort and support. Gradually start using you shoes during your first few hiking trips to break them in.

Which pair of socks are suitable for quechua nh150 waterproof boots?

These shoes are slightly breathable, but not enough to evacuate all humidity created by your perspiration. We advise you to choose Hike 100 Mid socks: they contain moisture-absorbing cotton and have a reverse terry-knit construction under the sock that wicks moisture away from your foot. They are also high enough to protect your ankle from the shoe. It is an excellent combination to reduce the chance of blisters.

Product testing

Our Quechua global design centre is based in Passy, at the foot of Mont-Blanc in Haute Savoie. This location makes it a real meeting place for our teams (designers, product managers, engineers, etc) and outdoor sports enthusiasts. A great asset for co-designing high-quality products for your hikes and giving you access to all our expertise.

Storage instructions

We recommend you store your boots in a dry, dark and, if possible, ventilated place away from any heat source.
