Beautiful but needs to be washed often
Great for going to cold places, with rain and snow. It has many pockets. I recommend it 100%
Its too heavy
I am 30 years old. It is the best coat I have ever worn. It never makes me cold. The fact that it has polar fleece inside the pockets keeps my hands warm even without gloves. It has many pockets. I even carry an umbrella in the inside pocket. It is a bit heavy but I don't think it is a problem. Just carrying it in your hand when you are not wearing it is death.

This jacket is amazing. It is super warm and protects very well from the cold, water, snow, wind...
Coat recovered second-hand via a French woman in Quebec, it has lasted 2 winters and it can easily last more! I am sensitive to the cold (Raynaud's syndrome), and this coat was just perfect! : - Water-repellent as it should be, I walked a lot with it (tested the condensation): you can sweat quickly on the other hand... - Warmth level: just perfect! - The down finish on the hood: great, my head was warm and the "hairs" protected me from the snow. - Zipper that goes up to the nose: great! The cold does not pass! And it protects the face! (I only used a merino wool neck warmer to keep my throat warm, because a scarf is too thick) - The zippers on the sides at the waist are practical for airing if the weather is relatively "good" and to avoid sweating. - The fleece pockets are great for keeping your hands warm! A real +! (I only used my merino wool gloves) - The finishes of the sleeves are great, because the snow and wind do not get into the coat! Resistant materials, it is almost not damaged. I was very positively surprised by this product!

Can i be sure that my jacket is warm enough for my winter hikes?
We developed your jacket for intense wintry conditions: intense cold, snow, blizzards. The insulation is provided by thick wadding made of a synthetic component that insulates by trapping air in its fibres (double layer on the body and single layer at the arms).We added a long inner flap underneath the zip to stop cold air from entering. The system is supplemented by a drawcord at the hem to make the jacket comfortable down to -20°C.
How does my jacket protect me from outdoor conditions?
Your jacket is designed with a waterproof outer component that keeps out water and wind. To keep you warm in winter you must also protect your extremities (head, hands, feet). The anti-blizzard hood with detachable synthetic fur, wrist sleeves and a rising collar prevent cold infiltration. The high handwarmer pockets with fleece lining are perfect for protecting your hands in a comfortable position.
Waterproofness of this jacket
The waterproofness of a jacket isn’t limited to just its components: the assembly technique of the different parts is also an evaluation criterion.Whether heat-sealed or sewn then waterproofed, the overall waterproofness of your jacket is measured using a shower test developed by Decathlon, which simulates rain of different intensities.As such, this waterproof jacket protects you from a downpour, i.e. 12 cm of rain in 2 hours.

The waterproofness of a fabric, provided by a coating or membrane, is measured in Schmerber or mm H²0 (pressure exerted by a column of water). The higher this number, the more waterproof the fabric. This jacket has a waterproof component (JIS 1092 standard) resistant to 15 000 mm H²0 (Schmerber) before washing.
Water often gets in through the seams. does my jacket have waterproof seams?
Your jacket is waterproof thanks to its taped main seams. Waterproof tape is added to the seams inside the garment to make them watertight so that water cannot enter through the more vulnerable areas.We validated the waterproofing with a shower test specially designed to replicate the conditions of a two-hour shower. We also wore it in the field in all weather conditions to make sure that it is suited to your activities.
A practical jacket with smart details
Practical and smart details: 2 hand warmer pockets, 2 outside pockets with flap, 1 secure inside pocket, 2 inside mesh pockets to have everything close at hand. The main zip has a long zipper pull and press studs and thumb pass so you can open or close your jacket while keeping your hands tightly snug in your gloves. The 2 easy zips at the bottom of the jacket allow you to bend or sit down comfortably.

How to preserve the technical qualities of my jacket?
A fabric's water repellent property is its capacity to make water run off its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight, warm and breathable. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifespan (recommended after each wash). Products (spray or liquid) for this purpose are available in our stores.
