Very good shoes to start with

Having bought these shoes a year ago, and covered more than 1200km in the first 8 months, I was won over during the summer. Indeed the shoe is pleasant, but tight, so I removed the insoles to have more space, that was enough. The problem happens in winter, there, the blood does not circulate enough in the feet and the cold is quickly felt. Concerning the support of the shoe, it is sufficient during driving, but when walking, the shoe tends to come off at the heel, it is quite unpleasant, especially when this brings in mud in the shoe. Last point, which I am apparently not the first to have, the front of the foot has creases making the shoe even narrower. Fortunately I was able to make an exchange with the decathlon in my city, really excellent customer service. To summarize, I think they are good shoes to start the discipline, but with practice they know how to show us the areas to observe when buying the next ones.

Very comfortable shoe with good sole

Despite its rigid appearance, it is very comfortable for both pedaling and walking. You have to adjust the position of the cleats well. It was difficult for me to do them on the foot but it was worth it.

The expected

Meets expectations after two outings

Good but for thin feet

Foot support could be improved: heel which tends to come out when you push the bike up the slope Effective lacing system But the tip of the liner is really narrow!! You have to wear really thin socks and suffer

must be properly tested

It's a little harder to hold on to

XC 500 MTB Shoes

I bought these MTB shoes for doing XC. They gave me average satisfaction with very good stiffness under the pedal, but heel support that could be improved even after tightening the BOA. About a month ago I started feeling painful pressure on the top of my toenails. Today this pain has become unbearable to the point of not being able to put on the shoes. As I put my hand inside the shoes, I feel stiff creases pressing down on my toenails. My wife who had the same shoes had the same problem after a week. Decathlon reimbursed us. There must be a design problem.

Narrow, the support by…

Narrow, the maintenance by the rotating buckles not satisfactory

was faulty

After 3 outings my nail hurt, the plastic had wrinkled on the inside, the bike salesman fixed it very well.

Bad product

We bought these shoes for our son a few weeks ago. On the 3rd use, one of the clamping guides tore off. I went back to the store in Saint Omer to have the problem noted, but as I no longer had the receipt, I was told that an exchange was not possible. It is shameful. Indeed I didn't have the receipt, we had thrown it away, we didn't think we had to come back! I was told "there is no evidence that you did not buy it second hand". I told them that we were being honest. Very disappointed with the product and with the decathlon team.

The tip gave way

The inner part of the tip collapsed making it impossible to use, after about 2000 km.

The tightening boa and zero it held 15 days and it does not even tighten

painful

After a few outings I started to feel sleepy. I thought it was the cold, then the tightness, but in fact I just noticed that at the ends, inside the shoe, the lining is totally deformed and looks like cells that compress the foot . Impossible to put it back in place, the shoes are HS.

good potential but points to review...

I bought these shoes with the intention of switching to clipless pedals over a year ago but have no longer worn them for several reasons. After static testing of the shoe, I find it pleasantly comfortable, the boa system is more than effective and the support seems good. I thus adjust my wedges to go riding. I squeeze these very hard so that they don't move: a few unclips in my garden and it looks good. I go to try them on an outing and after a few kilometres, I can no longer unclip and it's the cleat that slips on the axle as if it had already loosened... When I return, I notice that it has rotated on its axis despite my good tightening, the wedge tore off a good part of the fiberglass present on the sole. I decide to try again by tightening even more and yet, I am still faced with the same problem of recurring loosening despite the use of the original screws. Impossible to ride in these conditions because I find myself not being able to unclip in places where it is sometimes dangerous!

Great shoes

As a beginner clipless pedalist, I am satisfied with it.
