Quechua Arpenaz 3XL Fresh & Black Waterproof Camping Tent 3 Person

We have the previous rendition of this that was all blue. It has survived 4 Download Festivals- 2016, 2018, 2019, and the Download Pilot last year. Anyone who went to any of those will tell you that the weather was temperamental and the rain was something else! Its still going strong with no signs of wear and tear and we plan to use it again this year. We are a couple with two backpacks, two bag for life style bags, a double air bed and wellies and we just about fit comfortably. Once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy to put up and pack away fairly quickly.

Ive had the tent a year now (used in all seasons) and I'm writing this review now in a field in Cornwall where we've just been battered by wind and rain, two tents around us have been destroyed but ours is still standing albeit the inner walls are flapping around. For under £100 this tent is perfect! It is on the heavy side but ok if not hiking too far away from the car. The blackout material is such a bonus for a better night sleep, i love it, although if you want to just sit in your tent in the day you need a light as it is too dark. So easy to put up/take down and well ventilated. The tent has loads of space for two people and with sleep mats could sleep 4 if needed and has a big porch area for bags. Pros.. For a 3 person tent, this tent is big, and I mean really BIG. I honestly believe you could fit 4 without any difficulty. Normally hike/bikepack solo with a light weight set up, so the 5+kg caught me off guard. But hey, it's £70 and in my opinion, is absolutely amazing for the money. I wouldn't take it for a year long adventure or a winter camp in Scotland, but that's not what it's designed for. Ours will be broken down between 3 of us, loaded onto bikes and taken off for a family cycle tour later this year. My only (very slight) niggle is that the rain flap covering the entrance zipper could do with a couple more Velcro spots along its length. One, at the bottom, isn't enough. But like I said, that really is me looking to find a niggle. Bottom line: If you're looking for your first tent, or a tent for a fun family (up to 4 max), then I honestly don't think you will beat this for value for your money. Affordable and a quality product

First tent we buy and could not be happier with it. Used it for a camping week around Scotland, with all sorts of weather, and the tent did not disappoint :) The black inside was ideal for the long summer Scottish days, meaning we could go to bed early or have a late morning without the sun bothering us. The instructions on how to assemble and disassemble it were spot on! First attempt barely took us 10min (got faster with practice) and putting it away is even faster! We decided to go for a 3 person tent even though it was just 2 of us, which was ideal for fitting a mattress inside with plenty of room to spare for our backpacks. The only down side was the fact that the tent has no windows (still breathable enough to not sweat at night) which we didn’t realise when purchased, but still very happy with it for it being our very first owned tent. Would defo recommend.

Just came back from a weekend where we experienced every sort of weather. On the first day it was hot and the tent felt cool enough. On the second day it was torrential rain and extremely high winds, up to 40km gusts and I’m very impressed with how the tent withstood it all! Minimal light comes in but still dark enough to sleep till late morning or take an afternoon nap. The only thing I would say it doesn’t really feel like an XL, but still an absolute brilliant tent.

Very much satisfied with this tent. 100 % Proved water proof. Stayed under 5-6 hrs non stop rainfall, not a drop of rainfall goes inside the tent. Worked perfectly rain shelter for 6 campers (My experience) Love this product and highly recommend it.

Good: - for winter spacious front area for backpacks dark inner tent block sunlight Not so good - ventilation dark inner tent, hot as soon as sunrise heavy and large to carry
