Irregular and insufficient distribution of sentences

This down sleeping bag features an inconsistent distribution of down, with a noticeable sparseness particularly in the torso area, which contributes to an overall unsatisfactory experience. Additionally, it suffers from a general feather deficiency, resulting in an insufficient ability to provide insulation and warmth. The combination of these factors leads to a lack of comfort, making it unsuitable for providing a cozy and warm night's rest.

MT900 review

too bad there is only one opening/closing on the side the fabric is very slippery and poorly held on the floor mat

Nothing much...

A sleeping bag with 0C comfort but only with 400g of feathers? I don't know how it could work, so it doesn't work for me. Below 10C - I estimate 5-7C - I'm already cold. The sleeping bag is also quite small over the shoulders, only 69 cm, I had trouble turning it on. I will buy another product, I slept in it 5 times in September. What is a plus is that it has a really large consistency, it can be pressed into a rather tiny roller.

Comfortable sleeping bag

The sleeping bag is awesome. Nothing to complain about. However, the temperature information is incorrect. I've slept in it twice now. Once at minus 4 degrees and once around zero degrees. I froze miserably in it both times. The minimum temperature should not be less than around +5 degrees. But otherwise he's great!

Good sleeping bag

My first decent sleeping bag, so I don't have much to compare it to. A plus for lightness, warmth, appearance and sleeping comfort. I would subtract half a star for the difficulty of zipping and unfastening it completely, but that's probably a problem with mummy sleeping bags. So far, the lowest temperature at which it has been used is 0°C, in a hammock with an OTUL lining. Overall, I recommend it.

Excellent down

Very good down, light and comfortable. The fill power is very good, it does not lose feathers. Never felt cold in the high mountains in summer (nights in a tent and cabin), no feeling of cold either in winter in the middle mountains (night in a cabin). Forclaz is once again creating a product that is difficult to beat in terms of price by the competition. When will we have a quilt??

A superb sleeping bag at a low price

A very good lightweight sleeping bag. The swelling remains good 2 years after acquisition! The fabric does not tear so easily, but you still need to take good care of it. It keeps you warm and thanks to the storage bag supplied with it, ventilation and maintenance are ALMOST effortless. However, it will not have escaped potential buyers that this sleeping bag costs €200 including tax!! 2 years ago this bag was offered at 170€ including tax and 2 years ago, 150€ including tax. For 150€ it's a very good sleeping bag, for 170€ the fact is that it remains very good and without much competition. But for 200€ it's worth looking elsewhere if you can't find cheaper. . . an increase of 33% on a product with a base price of €150 is very easy on the wallet, especially when discounts on this type of item are VERY rare. There was a time when this sleeping bag was everywhere on French YouTube and gained popularity among hikers on a tight budget/beginners. . .

Sleeping bag used during a summer trek, light, easily stored in the bag, very warm, and breathable, I recommend.

great for nights…

What is the temperature rating?

We display the comfort temperatures on all our sleeping bags, tested by an independent laboratory (AITEX) in compliance with European standard ISO 23537-1:2022. The comfort temperature rating is the lower limit at which the user in relaxed posture is generally in thermal equilibrium and feels neither too cold nor too hot (for a standard woman in normal conditions of use). Choose your sleeping bag according to this criterion.

What is the temperature rating (lower limit at which you feel comfortable)?

The comfort limit temperature is the temperature limit at which a person curled up in the sleeping bag is in general thermal equilibrium, neither too cold nor too hot (determined for a man in normal conditions of use).We recommend using an insulation mattress to optimise your thermal comfort.

An important clarification concerning the iso 23537-1 standard

In the context of this standard, the measurement protocol of a sleeping bag’s thermal protection uses a mattress with thermal resistance equal to an R-value of 4.8.This means that by using a less insulating mattress, the thermal performance of your sleeping bag will be lower. We therefore recommend you use an insulating mattress to optimise your thermal comfort.

Some advice to consider before you get into your bag

Dress simply (1 layer of clothing is enough). Warm-up your extremities: hats, gloves, socks, hand/feet warmers, rubdowns, etc. A flask of hot water can be used as a hot water bottle (as long as there's no chance of it accidentally opening!) Contract your muscles (70% of the energy consumed is converted into heat) but do it without moving as this could create a draught. Use a bag liner to optimise warmth and avoid washing your sleeping bag too frequently.

The mummy shape optimises thermal insulation (no loss of heat because there is not much air flow or draughts) and saves space, which means that your movements are restricted.Width at the shoulders 72 cm, height at the feet 26 cm in size L.

The advantages of a duck down and feather filling

The filling power of down has 3 advantages for mountain sports:- Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers- Ultra low weight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack- Ultra-compressible

How to measure the fill power of a down and feather wadding?

The fill power is a measure of the down's thermal insulation capacity and its potential to ”trap” air. It is expressed in CUIN (cubic inches). So, down with a higher fill power (higher CUIN number) will occupy more space, trap more air and provide greater thermal insulation. For this sleeping bag with its 90% down / 10% feathers filling, the fill power is guaranteed to be 800 CUIN or more (international IDFB standard).

Storage instructions

To maintain its fill power, which is necessary for its insulation properties, store your sleeping bag by stuffing it in the mesh bag provided, feet first. Can be stored flat.
