Question:

I want to swap the front chainring on my Tirban GRVL120. What is the direct mount standard used there? I need to order online, but can't find any info on which chainring I need to get.

Answer:

Its a single chainring Microship 38tooth ring H100 10 speed system currently. All Microshift cranks use a 24mm spline, so you can replace the crank set with another system with 24mm or change the bottom bracket and use any crank you like.

No miracle, it remains an entry-level bike

After almost 1 year of use, daily for road cycling and a few leisure outings on the trail, it remains an entry-level bike and will require you to get into mechanics to make regular adjustments. The brakes are very average and the chain breaks are really very regular, towards the outside, I ended up breaking the plastic fairing following one of its numerous chain breaks, I ended up adding an anti-derailment bracket to solve this problem and no longer be afraid of the chain jumping every time you change gear. Slightly average assembly, my rim tape was placed folded and I therefore had to change it to switch to tubules. The quality/price ratio remains correct but it has flaws that are a little too restrictive.

bike to discover gravel

bike to discover gravel. but the brakes lack bite and need to be adjusted very often. the chain jumps a lot. I finally changed after a year of practice in hindsight I would have taken better but of course more expensive.

I'd rather just buy clothes at Decathlon.

Where do I start. The monoblock had a plastic slide bearing; whoever assembled it was strong because he managed to wrap the pedal even though it didn't fit well into the thread (when I replaced it, the thread in the crank had to be adjusted); when I took it over, the brakes didn't hold so much that I almost rolled it into an intersection, when I took it back they said "that's how it is, get used to it" then they did it at another service center; the rear wheel had to be replaced, partly to make it last and partly because the hub of the wheel failed sooner than the axle; the outer tires developed such cracks after a few months of use that they had to be replaced. I am satisfied with the frame, the front fork, the derailleur, the handlebars, (after some adjustment) the brakes, pretty much everything else had to be replaced, so I haven't had the bike for two full years. I would expect more from a bike bought for nearly HUF 250,000. For example: the quality that the company advertises.

Cool gravel

For now, the weather did not allow us to enjoy the bike, but the bike made a good first impression. Everything is fine for now. You need to pay attention to proper brake adjustment.

Good Gravel not too expensive

Plus: - double attachment in the frame for water bottles and locks - resists shocks well - fairly light - the cheapest on the market - possibility of upgrading the bike (addition of trays at the front planned, since that is missing) Less : - The brake system is disappointing and makes a lot of noise (I tried lots of different settings, it moves the wheel and I can't find the braking quality of the pads) - the single plate at the front is really a shame and after a year and a half I have the chain which gets between the plastic and the chainring regularly. - there is only 1 model of mudguard compatible with the braking system. It's the SKS edge AL 46. I searched for a long time and even the salespeople in the store and workshop didn't know. I took the size just slightly larger and I'm satisfied with it. I use it for city, paths, stairs, sidewalks and it does the job well. I was surprised by the slightly flared handlebars at first (not practical between cars) but it is useful on wet roads or unstable paths. The color is cool and the frame makes it easy to attach to the back and front. I changed the wheel locks so as not to have them stolen. If I had to change I would take the same one but with front plates and a better braking system and toe clips on one side. See the price difference...

gravel bike

as a first beginner's bike I would say that I can't complain about a very nice bike, even if the brakes need to be improved and the saddle needs to be changed immediately. Preparing the bicycle for delivery leaves a little to be desired

unbeatable

unbeatable value for money for this gravel. ideal for daily use as a sporty, versatile bike, so yes the brakes lack a little bit of bite and the general overall a little dynamism, the look is nice the Hutchinson tires do the job, a little light for serious gravel . but at this price you can't have everything!

Great product. 👍

Awful after 6 months

Tyres are awful, thinner than a rizzla and punctures every odd ride. Its a cheaply built bike, the parts will fail after 1000 miles, 6 months of commuting for me. The brakes are dangerous if you are riding on busy roads. The shifters are poor and the derailleur has had to be replaced less than 10 months of use. I wish I would have spent more on a better equipped bike after all of the issues. I've spent upwards of £300 in 10 months replacing the parts Could do with an extra cog for decent as you will bottom out at 25mph ish. Also the shifter drops it from top gear right down to bottom gear in one switch meaning I have to drop gears and then work my way back up to the correct gear which is frustrating

price scam

bike bought 7 months ago for 550 euros in store and which is now displayed at 800 euros... how can you justify such a difference in a few months... it is not worth this new price!!!!!

I'm a newbie, so I don't know much about bikes, but from what I've found, it has no competition in this price range. It drives great. I was a little afraid of the single gear, but the hills are handled just fine.

Great maneuverability

A huge plus is the fact how agile this bike is during use. At this price, it's hard to find a more universal bike that will be a great base for expansion.

I would expect better for 3 kilos.

The bike would be nice, but there are a few things that made me regret choosing this one. Brakes are very weak. The drive with this basic microshift stuff is not good, I would rather say bad. These are about the 2 most important parts of the bicycle. Anyway, the frame is good, the color is cool, it's comfortable to ride on, I also like the factory tires, it's light. Too bad for this drive.
