Best trek shoes ever

They are so good, it worked on all kind of terrain - Rocky, Muddy, water bodies, thick snows. I bought it first time and the sales person suggested this for my leh/ladakh trip and it was worth his suggestion. The shoes are so comfortable I had multiple fracture on my left leg from foot to knee making it difficult to wear any normal sport shoes too with swelling and pain. But this was blessing in disguise little expensive but worth life long.

Not price worthy

The product is good ,but for the price tag it is not that durable. The inside sole started worn out with like in one month only. Although the comfort of the shoe is good.Yes they are waterproof, untill unless water gushes in from the top shoe opening, otherwise they work well with water. I wore the shoes almost more than 12hrs a day for continuous 25 days, after which i'am writing this feedback. Enjoy your purchase folks.

Difficulty in walking with this Trek shoe

Severe shoe bite and blisters even after using anti blister socks

Hello Ma'am
Thank you for taking out time to give your valuable review on Trek 100 Women Mountain Trekking boots. We are sorry that you were not satisfied with the product.
As you mentioned you had difficulty walking in these trekking boots. There can be multiple reasons for the comfort issue like:

1. The reason for blister can be the size of the shoe. In any trekking shoe you should normally take a size bigger than your fitting sport shoe.
2. If you use a fresh new shoe in trek without breaking into it after using for few walks before heading to the mountains it can be a reason for discomfort while walking.
3. If you are a new trekker one more reason for discomfort in walking which a lot of new trekkers face is that they are not used to high ankle boots.

Hence, I suggest you to visit your nearest decathlon store to have the shoes physically tested by our trekking team in-store. If the discomfort is because of the manufacturing issue of the product we will be more than happy to exchange the trekking boots to a new one which is perfect for you or provide you a refund as per your convenience.

I hope the above information was helpful. Kindly feel free to write back to me in case of further queries.

Shoe are not for descend

Hi, The shoe quality is good and waterproof, But i faced difficulty while descending, instead of buying perfect size I suffered both toe injury, resulting in loss of both toe nail. The shoe needs to improvise and tested for descend, i guess something like soft cushion around toe would have saved my toe nail and my suffering

Hello Miss Amisha
Thank you for taking out time to give your valuable feedback on Women Trek 100 Boots. We are sorry that you were not satisfied with the product and had to go through the injury.

I would like to tell you that in any trekking or hiking shoes please do buy a size bigger than your actual size which provides enough space for the toe while descending and saves the toe from hitting the front of the shoe  and try putting on the shoe and go for walks few days before the trek to break into the shoe before taking it to a trek because a new trekking shoe is always rigid and hard which might create problems if directly worn while trekking, these are two very important things to take care in a trekking shoe from wherever you buy them. However if you still feel it might be a defect in the shoe, please visit your nearest Decathlon store and have it physically checked by our team.

I hope the above information was helpful. Please feel free to write back to me in case of any further query.

Comfy right from the start

Wore these out of the box for a walk of about 6 miles with no problem. Very comfy and waterproof. My only slightly negative comment is that the laces slip over the top of the boot, so I now use the top two hooks first and do them up on the next set of hooks down so the 'knot' is away from the top.

Great value for money

Bought these for my son's scouts camp and he loved them. Comfy and warm.

Comfortable but not waterproof

These boots provided a lot of comfort and it took only one day of wear to break in. No blistering experienced. I wore this boots in the last 2 weeks from today in Tanzania, climbing Mt Kilimanjaro. However the problem i came across wearing these boots was that it is not waterproof. Water soaked through when I got caught walking through a 2 hour hail/rain storm on the mountain. I had to wear ziplock bags on my feet after this to keep feet dry, however because they were wet this made my body very very cold and shivering. Luckily thr next day was sunny so i could dry my boots before thr next part of the hike.

Quechua shoes

Excellent shoes ...had no trouble with them at all from the first day . Trekked in the snow without any issues . Would definitely recommend them

Had really bad experience got horrible blisters.

I used this shoes for trial before my trek. Within a 1km of walk only got blisters. After 5 days again I worn this shoe for my trek got horrible blisters . I hardly walk for 2.5km and horrible blisters on feet. Really had bad experiences and 1st time in my life got such horrible blisters .Avoid buying this shoes they are way heavy nd they will give you blisters.

Hello Sheetal,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are sorry to hear that you found the product uncomfortable to use. Blisters occur due to the friction of the shoe or the socks or external factor against our skin. Here is a link to the advice on preventing blisters: Link.

Kindly go through the article and let us know if this helps in improvising your Trekking experience :)

I stay available for any further queries:)

Comfortable, sturdy, waterproof hiking shoes

I took these on a long, muddy trek and they were amazingly comfortable right out of the box, gave great grip and held up against a consistent downpour.

Footwear waterproofing test.

These boots, which have been laboratory and field tested, are equipped with a waterproof membrane that provides optimum waterproofing and breathability. First, the boot is immersed in water while internal air pressure is applied to check that no bubbles form on the surface of the footwear. Next, the boots are fitted to a mechanical arm that simulates walking and half-immersed in water so we can test that the inside remains perfectly dry.

3 levels of waterproofing.

In the waterproof test, we test 3 levels of waterproofing: 2000 flexes (about 2.5-mile walk), 4000 flexes (about 5-mile walk) 8000 flexes (about 10-mile walk). Of course, after this test or in use, the boot regains its original waterproofing once dry.

Footwear waterproof rating.

The TREK 100 boot has been tested and validated for 8000 flexes, equivalent to a 16 km walk, in water reaching the middle of the upper.

Laboratory tests

Laboratory tests were conducted to test the following elements: - secure fastening of eyelets and hooks - sole assembly - toxicology - UV resistance - abrasion of the sole and upper components - accelerated aging.

Buying advice

Try on both shoes, while standing up, with socks worn for hiking. Try several models and sizes if necessary. Check the following 2 pressure points: the base of the heel (the heel should not lift or very little) and the forefoot when going downhill (the toes should not touch the front of the boot). There should be no pressure points when you try them on. Don't hesitate to walk around the store. Gradually wear in your boots during your first few hikes so that they conform to your feet.

Care instructions

Use a brush to clean the shoe and remove dirt or mud residue. Brush in the same direction to restore the nubuck's original appearance. Do not use nourishing cream or waterproof grease on split leather. Although it will not damage the leather, it will change the appearance of your boots.

Manufacturing

The Trek 100 W boots are made in the European Union, in Romania. Most of the materials are of European origin.

Imported
