Good for swimming lessons

In winter our 6 and a half year old is very slim and gets cold easy so very good, but size run small he got an 8 when he is a slender 6 year old but it will fit for a while.

Returned because not using it at the lake

Do note that this was returned as we could not use it at Lake Entrace. The water there was too dirty (or not sanitary) to even get your feet wet. But when trying it on at the shop, I find the size smaller than imagined. My son's 10 and he is skinny & just below average for kids his age. Yet, I need to purchase a size 14. The quality is quite good, though I would prefer long sleeves and pants. They do not have it at the time of purchase.

Value for money. I will buy another one for little one.

Good quality & money for value

Good quality and value for money. Please be mindful that the OLAIAN Wetsuit size appeared 4 years smaller for my normal size kid (ie in this case, 6 years old need to wear a 10 years old size as labelled on on the suit), and just a little inconvenience by changing at store after online purchase.

Actual size is small than "size guide" online

Better to try it on to find the perfect size to fit. My son loves it, keep him warm in the outdoor pool.

Good price and quality

This wetsuit is used for swimming in relatively cold water and windy weather. Kids grow very fast so I didn't see the point in buying anything expensive. The suit does what was expected and price is really good. I'm happy customer.

Too small unfortunately

These wetsuits are very small, they are at least one size smaller than what the sizing chart say they are. When I re-ordered the size up, it was too small in the arms so I gave up after that and returned the product, again. And my child is small and skinny for her age. Having said that, my older child has one of these that I ordered earlier (perhaps a previous batch?) and that's been great. Great price.

About 2 Sizes small

Ordered 13/14 size for my 9 year old who is average build. It didn’t fit. When I put it against his size 8 of another brand it was the same size. Very disappointing. Also to return it have to take back to Tempe store which I wasn’t aware of.

Great value for money

I really recommend this wetsuit, good quality and right price!

Great stuff, but pick the right size!

My son is 6, on the shorter side of the chart for his age, and size 8 fits him nicely. The wetsuit itslef is great, good quality, nicely made.

Kept our kid warmer than he would have been otherwise but showed undue signs of wear after a week.

Kids Wetsuit

This wetsuit was the right size for my son. It seemed to have done it's job, my son didn't feel the cold of the water as quick as normal. The suit seems to be of pretty good quality, no loose threads or signs the suit is falling apart already.

For summer only

Thickness isn’t as strong as other surf brands like osmosis or rip curl but for the price it’s a bargain. Summer only. Fit is a little small. My daughter is 6.5 and the size 8 fits perfect.

Great wetsuit

Good quality and design

Easy to use & dry

Great product. Sizing is out of whack. My child is an average size 6 & I ended up buying a size 10. The size 6 was way too small.

How to choose the right wetsuit (part 1)

The 1st selection criterion when choosing a surfing wetsuit is the water temperature. Water temperature varies according to the location and the time of the year. Systematically make sure that the water temperature at your spot corresponds to the recommended temperature range: Warm water above 68°F. Temperate water between 63°F and 72°F. Cold water between 53°F and 62°F. Very cold water between 45°F and 54°F. Visit the site to find out the temperature of your spot.

How to choose the right wetsuit (part 2)

The 2nd criterion to take into account is the length of your sessions. If your sessions last less than an hour, the 100 models will be suitable. For up to 2 hours, opt for the 500 models, and for up to 3 hours, the 900 models.Compared to the 100 models, the 500 models will be warmer (and more watertight) and more efficient at reducing fatigue (more freedom of movement) and irritation. The same is true for the 900 models compared with the 500 models.Note: The 900 models are easier to put on.

Choose the right size

To make the most of the features of your wetsuit, it is necessary to choose the correct size. A surfing wetsuit should be a very tight fit and there should be no visible folds. When dry, it is perfectly normal to feel like it is too tight, this discomfort disappears as soon as the wetsuit gets wet. If you choose a wetsuit that is too big, folds will appear, you will experience irritation, and thermal insulation will be reduced (letting in water).Try it on before you buy it!

This Olaian 100 shorty is made of neoprene for better thermal comfort. The neoprene is lined with polyester fabric for added resistance to wear. Neoprene thickness: 1.5 mm.Neoprene is a closed-cell polychloroprene elastomeric foam with trapped nitrogen bubbles that have insulating properties.

The neck finish has been developed to limit irritation. According to the sensitivity of the wearer, a UV top can be worn under the wetsuit to reduce the risk of irritation. The application of grease (e.g. Vaseline) in friction areas (neck, underarms) is also recommended if wearing the wetsuit for long periods. Make sure the flap is always inside the wetsuit to limit the risk of irritation with the zipper and the neck.

Our zippers and fastenings are laboratory-tested in order to ensure an optimal lifespan and good resistance to salt water. We have put the zipper at the back of the wetsuit for more comfort during surf sports (when lying down to paddle).

Zipper pull

We are required by law to put a short cord on the zippers of kids' products to prevent the risk of strangulation for the youngest users. Above size 10 years, the cords are long so that kids can use them by themselves. A small rip-tab prevents accidental opening of the zipper during use.

Anti-chafing design

We designed this product with seamless panels under the arms to limit irritation due to the repetitive paddling movements associated with surf sports.

Stay warm for longer with our thermal accessories! each temperature range has its own outfit...

When we are in the water, we lose more than half of our body heat through our extremities (feet, hands, head). Consequently, here are the recommended accessories: - in warm water and temperate water (>63°F) => neoprene low booties.- in cold water (54 - 63°F): High booties (boots) and gloves.- in very cold water (44 - 54°F): High booties (boots), gloves, hood, and hooded top... Product testing

Developed and tested by our design teams in Hendaye, France. The materials used for this product are laboratory-tested to ensure the best possible quality and durability.

Storage instructions
