For me, even better...

For me, even better than the 285gr, more stable, very comfortable, if I needed a worse point, requires a little more concentration for the slices....

Great racket for punching

Hello, I am very satisfied with the racket. I bought 3 frames of this same model and I am very happy with them. I liked the original string that was on it. Can you give me the reference? Is this your polyester Power or spin or something else? Thank you in advance for your response. J.B.

very good product for 6 months and frame breakage

player ranked 30/2 the product is nice but while returning to the store, the frame broke fortunately the store exchanged my racket

Test 990

Parallel testing of the 930 spin pro and 960 pro control. Always an excellent product with a quality/price ratio that is hard to beat. Power/tolerance oriented racket with excellent maneuverability for a 300g racket. A little less powerful than a pure drive, it is a very easy racket to play with a small felted sensation at very pleasant impact. Despite the rigidity, no comfort level problem. The sieve shape is a bit reminiscent of the old extreme mp and the impact sensations of the very first aero

Good product

Hello, I have been a FFT licensee for more than 20 years, Being in a project to renew my 3 racket tennis equipment, I tried a friend's racket for a few balls. The racquet seems really very good to me (power, balance) Too bad not being able to have a racquet loan to be able to really try this one. In the decathlons near my home (Coutances / Avranches / Granville) there is no possibility of a loan like the proshops where I usually equip myself. Can the decathlon team have a solution to my problem?

Good racket but fragile

Very happy since January, but crack at the level of the frame by recording within the club. very surprising, because I had the old model and no worries. So I took over my old model bought in 2018.

Versatility and power!

A high-level racket both in its finishes and in the game. It's a great move upmarket that Artengo achieves year after year. It can be suitable for many playing styles and levels due to its great versatility. Powerful but still with some control, it does everything very well. Its great particularity is to be easy to handle and not wear out thanks to its contained inertia for a 300 gram racquet! I highly recommend given the amazing value for money. Very similar to a Babolat Pure Drive or a Head Extreme for example at almost a third of the price! Bravo Artengo for providing rackets of this level for advanced to expert players in a clear and understandable range. The same goes for the Artengo strings which are really excellent.

Very disappointed

In fact in none of the compartments I was seduced, whether in power, stability, maneuverability, nothing was good

Very good racket for…

Very good racket for me. I had to modify it by enlarging the handle (+3 sizes compared to the size 4 handle...basketball hands don't help...) which adds 10g to the handle and changes the balance and maneuverability in the right direction for me because I gain in precision while keeping the natural power of the racquet which guarantees me a good regularity in my swing.

Good product but breaks at the knot

Purchased since the start of the school year The product was good in power and control Unfortunately the branch broke at the knot on a ball misalignment

Graphite breakage at the racquet knot

The product was record breaking in my Parisian club And the frame split at the knot. Yet the product is really good in play, it is powerful and pleasant. I will return to my store, I think it is a manufacturing defect.

Quality

I think it is ideal for intermediate and advanced players. Classic tennis racket brands cost 2 - 2.5 times more. Frankly, I didn't feel a difference worth giving these numbers. I've been playing 2-3 times a week for 2 months and I'm satisfied, I recommend it to everyone.

Good racket, one downside:…

Good racquet, one downside: its fragility and the string that absolutely must be protected on the outside because it comes out of the frame and is damaged on low ball catches and the racquet rubs the ground. As for the fragility: noise of graphite in the frame and this on several of my rackets, one of them had to be changed: hole at the level of the eyelets.

It's the best racket I've ever played

Thanks to Artengo for designing and producing this racket. It gives me a lot of power thanks to the 100" platter but controlled thanks to the good amount of spin. This way I can push with confidence.

Excellent racket.

I have been using the TR 990 for 4 years. This 2022 update further improves the already good qualities of the previous model. Stable, powerful, precise but not traumatic for the arm. I often play but my shoulder and arm don't suffer.

Additional Product Information

Composition

Racket frame: 55.0% Carbon Fiber, 45.0% Epoxy Resin ; Racket handle: 60.0% Steel, 40.0% Polyethylene ; Bumper grommet: 100.0% Polyamide ; Grip: 100.0% Polyurethane ; Racket string: 100.0% Polyester ; Racket end cap: 100.0% Polyamide

Weight (unstrung racket)

300 gWeight: Measured in grams. Just like balance point and length, the weight impacts a racket's swingweight and therefore its manoeuvrability, stability and ability to transfer energy to the ball (power). The heavier the racket, the more power you'll get, but the harder it will be to handle. The lighter the racket, the easier it will be to handle, but the trade-off is less power.

Balance (unstrung racket)

32 cm Balance: This is the racket balance point, measured in centimetres from the bottom of the shaft. The higher the number (head heavy), the more powerful and stable upon impact the racket will be. However, it will also be harder to manoeuvre. The smaller the number (grip biased or handle heavy), the easier the racket will be to handle but you'll have less power and stability.

Head size

645 cm²Head size: This is the surface area of the racket head size measured in squared centimetres. It has an impact on the racket's forgiveness and power. The larger the head size, the more powerful and forgiving it is, but the downside is less control. The smaller the head size, the more control you'll get, but you'll have to sacrifice power and forgiveness.

Ra

70 RaRa: This refers to the racket's stiffness, i.e. how much it bends under the impact of the ball. The stiffer the racket (the higher the Ra), the less it bends. The energy lost on impact is minimised and returned to the ball via the strings. Generally, a stiffer racket offers greater power.

Swingweight (unstrung racket)

SW = 280Swingweight: This indicates how easy a racket is to handle and its ability to transfer energy to the ball (power). The higher the swingweight, the more powerful the racket, but also the harder it will be to handle. Conversely, the lower the swingweight, the easier the racket will be to handle, but the trade-off is less power. The swingweight is derived from a combination of the racket weight, balance and length.

Stringing:

16 x 19String pattern: This is the number of mains (vertical strings) x the number of crosses (horizontal strings). The more strings the pattern has, the more ”closed” it is; the fewer it has, the more ”open” it is. A more closed string pattern offers a greater feeling of control, but less power and spin. A more open string pattern provides more power and spin, but less control.

Length

68.5 cmLength: This is the length of the racket from the bottom of the grip to the top of the head. It is measured in centimetres. The longer the racket, the more power you'll get, but the flip side is that it will be harder to handle. The shorter the racket, the easier it will be to manoeuvre, but you'll have to give up power.

Profile

Elliptical cross section 25mm/25mm/23mm

Mpo technology

Mass Polarization Optimization (MPO): mass is distributed inside the racket for an optimal balance between handling and stability on impact. This technology also reduces fabrication tolerance on the weight and balance by 40%. This helps create consistent rackets that meet final specs and usage conditions.

Product testing

Our rackets undergo testing in the lab and on the court. This racket was tested for several hundred hours by our engineers, technical partners, and certified club coaches. This racket was developed in partnership with Steve Darcis (ATP singles No.38 on 22/05/2017), Oliver Marach (ATP doubles No.2 on 28/05/2018), all Artengo technical partners and many other high-level players.
