Product Customer Reviews

good quality but my size was too small..Would recommend trying on before buying
Great lightweight jacket, nice rubbery feel, not too bulky. Hood is well integrated into design and doesn't look separate. Elastic ends on sleeves not velcro.
Bought one size larger than I normally wear. Fits perfect. I have used it a number of times in the rain and it has kept me dry.
I bought a rain jacket for my son who lives in Victoria and he loves it. The size was perfect and of course we tried out the waterproof quality with a jug of water and thankfully it was very effective. The price point $65 was one of the best parts of the purchase. We looked at others around calgary at $99-130 that didn’t appear to be any better at all so we are very satisfied.
Thank you for the review, Brian.
We are really happy that you found this product that seems to answers all your need so far.
See you again soon!

I will be using this jacket on a boat transfer to Florida. It rains on the way down. I have to be reasonable dry to function while on board. To test it I jumped into the shower! It works as claimed! i came out dry and could not be happier!
Exactly what it says on the tin
This jacket is exactly what I required at a very reasonable price.
I bought this for my fashion conscious son and he likes it a lot despite it not being "cool". A nice Jacket with understand style.
Good quality and reasonably priced waterproof jacket. Size is a little bit snug---ordered a 1XL but it was too small for my husband. The 2XL is a much better fit
Good quality and cheaper.
very comfy and fits well
Really great waterproof which was great VFM
A well made product. Reasonably price. Fit is good. Lightweight. Does what it says in the description. I've used it on numerous occasions this last year and it's kept me dry. When others around me were drenched. Great buy!

Main component
2.5 layers with membrane
Membrane
The waterproof rating of a product depends on the following 2 main criteria: its component and its construction. This product was made with a membrane. This is a kind of very thin plastic film (polyurethane) that makes the component waterproof while remaining breathable. It has the advantage of being flexible, lightweight, and breathable.
Layer design
2.5 layer design: The membrane is glued under the outer fabric and protected inside by a thin film. We use it for light jackets.
Component waterproofing
Laboratory tests are conducted to guarantee the waterproof rating of a component. This is done by measuring the fabric's resistance to water pressure expressed in terms of the height of a water column in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with a waterproof rating of 10,000 mm can therefore withstand the pressure exerted by a 10,000 mm column of water. This is also equivalent to 10,000 Schmerbers.
Jacket waterproofing
We conduct laboratory tests that simulate rainfall scenarios in order to guarantee the jacket's waterproof rating. This garment has been validated in a shower test under 100 L/sqm/hr of water for 3 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a mountain storm.
Breathability
Component breathability is measured by its thermal evaporative resistance (RET). This is its capacity to let water vapor generated by the body during physical activity escape and therefore avoid water accumulating on the skin. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. RET ≤ 6: very breathable fabric RET ≤ 12: breathable fabric RET ≤ 20: not very breathable fabric This product was assessed at 10 RET
How to restore the water-repellent properties
A fabric is water-repellent when it allows water to slide over its surface without seeping in. The fabric does not soak up water and therefore remains lightweight and breathable. The water-repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment. The water-repellent property can be reactivated by putting the jacket in the tumble dryer for 10 minutes on low heat. You can also use the waterproof spray (ref 855490)
